FBI Raid and Arrest Targets Democrat
An “undisclosed agent of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party.” That’s what the FBI is calling Linda Sun. She used to be called an “aide to New York governors Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo.” It’s possible that they also benefited from her little side hustle but it’s too soon to tell. Sun’s husband, Chris Hu was also arrested on Tuesday, September 3. Their home had been raided once before, about a month ago, but nobody had been talking about why. Now, we know.
The Democrat Governor of liberal New York State, Kathy Hochul, hasn’t been accused of spying for China. Her former aide, 41-year-old Linda Sun hasn’t been accused of that either.
What she and her husband have been accused of, following a fresh early morning raid on her Long Island residence, are violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Sun “held numerous posts in New York state government before rising to the rank of deputy chief of staff for Hochul.” Her and her 40-year-old spouse Chris Hu were apparently fortunate, financially. Her alleged work for China probably had something to do with that.
“The FBI had searched the couple’s $3.5 million Manhasset home in July, but declined to release further details at the time.” They’re both denying everything and made it official in in federal court on Tuesday afternoon.
China apparently paid well for her services. “The illicit scheme enriched the defendant’s family to the tune of millions of dollars.”
Pay for play
The Federal Bureau of Instigation has plenty of dirt on Sun. The Pooh Bear likes her a whole lot better than Nancy Pelosi because Sun actually understands the One China doctrine.
“Sun, at the request of Chinese officials, blocked representatives of the Taiwanese government from having access to high-level officials in New York state.”
Meanwhile, “Hu is charged with money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification.”
Governor Hochul was quick to jump on damage control. Her public relations firm released a statement declaring for the record that “This individual was hired by the Executive Chamber more than a decade ago. We terminated her employment in March 2023 after discovering evidence of misconduct, immediately reported her actions to law enforcement and have assisted law enforcement throughout this process.”
That means it was probably Cuomo who was flirting with China. “A spokesman for Cuomo did not immediately return an emailed request for comment.“
