Donald Trump announced the end to one war that left Barack Obama mad as hell

Three Key Takeaways:
- Donald Trump declared the end of the “war on coal,” reversing Obama-era regulations that aimed to shut down coal-fired power plants and giving a boost to the industry.
- Trump’s administration is focusing on energy independence and reliability, emphasizing coal’s role in meeting growing electricity demand, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence.
- Energy experts and industry consultants are praising Trump’s approach, which prioritizes fossil fuels like coal over green energy, arguing that it’s crucial for reindustrializing the U.S. and ensuring reliable power generation.
Donald Trump unleashed shock and awe on Democrats since taking office.
He had some more bad news for them.
And Donald Trump announced the end to one war that left Barack Obama mad as hell.
Donald Trump declares the war on coal is over
Former President Barack Obama waged war on the coal industry so he could replace it with green energy.
He said during his 2008 campaign that one of his goals was to “bankrupt” the coal industry and that “electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”
The Obama Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued stringent regulations against coal-fired power plants to put them out of business.
President Donald Trump’s first term was a break on the war on coal.
But former President Joe Biden restarted it by restricting future leases in the coal-rich Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana.
The Biden EPA’s Clean Power Plan 2.0 regulation would have forced every coal-fired power plant in the country to shut down from expensive and unproven carbon capture mandates.
Former Biden climate envoy John Kerry told the globalists at the United Nations that coal would be phased out by 2030.
Trump announced that coal was back with a post on his Truth Social platform.
“After years of being held captive by Environmental Extremists, Lunatics, Radicals, and Thugs, allowing other Countries, in particular China, to gain tremendous Economic advantage over us by opening up hundreds of all Coal Fire Power Plants, I am authorizing my Administration to immediately begin producing Energy with BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN COAL,” Trump wrote.
Coal is needed to keep the lights on
The demand for electricity is growing because of the rise of power-hungry artificial intelligence (AI).
Secretary of Energy Chris Wright told the Daily Caller that coal would play an important role in the country’s energy future by providing cheap electricity.
“If you want to grow your supply, the first thing to do is stop digging the hole,” Wright explained. “We’ve been closing coal plants for quite some time now. That’s gotta stop. We have to keep these firm, reliable existing plants online. That’s objective number one. And then there’s existing plants that are open that run at low operating percent of the time because of regulations and things put in the way.”
The Biden administration was hellbent on switching from fossil fuels to green energy.
Unreliable green energy can’t keep up with the country’s growing energy demand.
Wright is taking an all of the above approach to energy.
The shackles are coming off fossil fuel production under the Trump administration.
Veteran energy industry consultant David Blackmon praised the new approach to energy.
“It’s a new day in American power generation,” Blackmon said. “Coal is in, wind is out, and reindustrialization is the goal. Climate alarmists will scream disaster, but for millions of others, it’s all a long-awaited breath of fresh air.”
Bringing manufacturing back to the United States and winning the AI race will require reliable electricity.
Donald Trump is giving coal a new lease on life to keep up with the demand for energy.
