New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul made one promise about mass deportations that Tom Homan will make her regret

Mar 31, 2025

Three Key Takeaways:

  • Governor Kathy Hochul promised that New York would resist mass deportations, only cooperating with ICE in specific cases, such as terrorism watch list individuals.
  • Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, has already seen success in Massachusetts, where his efforts led to the arrest of 370 criminal illegal aliens, despite resistance from local Democrat officials.
  • Homan is determined to continue his efforts in New York City, challenging Hochul’s sanctuary policies and aiming to round up dangerous criminal illegal aliens regardless of state resistance.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Thursday that the FBI had arrested an illegal alien leader of the violent and dangerous MS-13 gang.

The arrest wouldn’t have happened if not for Donald Trump’s border security and immigration policies.

But New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul made one promise about mass deportations that Tom Homan will make her regret.

Donald Trump campaigned on a promise to make securing the border and ending the illegal immigration crisis Joe Biden unleashed on the country.

Joe Biden allowed more than 12 million illegal aliens to enter the country during his four years in office.

Hundreds of thousands of these illegal aliens are violent and dangerous gang members with criminal records.

It only took Donald Trump two weeks to secure the border.

Illegal alien encounters at the border dropped by 93% within Trump’s first 11 days in office.

Trump also campaigned on a promise to launch the largest deportation program in American history.

He followed through with this promise on Day One, but arresting and deporting the potentially millions of illegal aliens with criminal records takes more time than securing the border.

Border czar Tom Homan is leading the deportation program for the Trump administration.

Democrat Governors and Mayors in sanctuary states and cities are making Homan’s job much more difficult – and dangerous.

Massachusetts Democrat Governor Maura Healey and left-wing Boston Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu tried to stop Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from arresting criminal illegal aliens in a citywide operation.

“These officers and agents made the neighborhoods of Boston and Massachusetts much safer,” Homan said.

“They risked their own safety by arresting these criminals on the street, rather than a jail,” he continued. “Governor Healey and Mayor Wu should be ashamed of supporting sanctuary policies.”

Despite the Democrat officials’ best efforts, ICE successfully arrested 370 criminal illegal aliens in Boston.

New York City is Homan’s next target for rounding up criminal illegal aliens.

But Homan is facing resistance from New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

“We’re not going to allow this mass deportation,” Hochul said in a video, before adding that they will only cooperate if there is a warrant or if the individual is on the terrorism watch list.

“So our state policy, our state law, does not allow for our state police to be involved in those situations,” she declared.

Hochul controls the state police.

She said they will not cooperate with Homan or ICE as long as she’s in charge.

“What I control is the state police, and they will not cooperate in that,” she declared.

The “sanctuary” Democrats in Boston and Massachusetts tried to stop Tom Homan from rounding up violent and dangerous illegal aliens

But Donald Trump selected Tom Homan for a reason.

Homan is a bulldog.

Over 370 dangerous, criminal, illegal aliens were taken off the street in Boston thanks to Homan’s efforts.

And Homan will find the illegal aliens in New York City whether Kathy Hochul likes it or not.
