Three Stories That Blow That Old ‘Abortion Protects Women’ Line Halfway To Hell
Does Planned Parenthood care about women?

Abortion defenders love throwing around buzzwords like ‘health care’ and ‘rights’ and ‘freedom’ — but do ANY of these three stories look like they gave a damn about what’s best for the pregnant mother?
Abortion-defenders: champions of women (sort of)
They are the perennial good guys in this story. Just ask them. They’ll tell you. Leftists care deeply about women’s health care. Specifically, the ‘reproductive health care’.
Curiously, these are the people who REFUSED to talk about the Kermit Gosnell house of horrors in Philly, where an abortionist was sentenced to THREE life terms for the harm not just to late-term babies, but to the women he butchered in ‘helping them’. Planned Parenthood knew his operation was violating any number of standards, but did nothing to reign him in. Reporters refused to cover the case (photos of the courtroom showed it to be mostly empty.)
You might think the fact that most of his victims were non-white poor women, some of whom were immigrants would have been enough for the press to care about the horrific way women in his ‘care’ were treated.
But no, the abortion industry was so important to them, that his victims were disposable.
Just like the creepy Abortion doctor who had jars with more than 2000 specimens of human remains packed away in his garage discovered after his death left a crime scene that even some grizzled cops found difficult to handle made barely a ripple in the news cycle, and certainly did NOT call for greater regulation of the left’s beloved industry.
Now that we’re hearing pledges to freeze Planned Parenthood funding while the use of federal dollars is reviewed for compliance to federal guidelines, the shrill complaints about the dangerous to women are predictably ramping up along with it.
There’s one crucial problem with that shill shriek, though. There’s not a lick of truth in it.
The Shout Your Abortion Pivot
Gone are the days of safe, legal, and rare. In its place has risen the ‘shout your abortion’ flavor or activism.
The ‘shout your abortion’ crowd go out of their way to put abortion on equal footing with contraception as a way to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
With some boasting about how many abortions they’ve had, it’s almost preferable to all those lectures we were once given about the importance of safe sex.
One clown has even gone so far as to fantasize about having a uterus transplant so that he can get pregnant.
Is it because he’s so invested in embodying womanhood that he dreams of one day being a mother?
No. He wants to embody the activism by getting knocked up for the express purpose of being the very first dude to get both a womb and an abortion.
If that example doesn’t lay bare the fact that this activism goes deeper than simple bodily autonomy to some kind of a rage against traditional mother-and-child values itself, nothing will.
The Stories Abortion Defenders Are NOT telling you
Just like the examples of Gosnell and Klopfer were studiously ignored by media types who would have shouted it on the rooftops had it incriminated a pro-life cause or abuses by a church-sponsored clinic, there are more recent stories that tend to be squeezed out of the national conversation.
Story 1: Woman hospitalized after baby parts were left inside her
An unnamed woman is suing an Illinois abortionist for malpractice after she allegedly suffered from severe and potentially life-threatening complications from a late-term abortion at his hands in 2023.
In a legal complaint filed on March 21, “Jane Doe” claims Keith Reisinger-Kindle of Equity Clinic in Champaign, Illinois performed a two-day dilation and evacuation abortion that, unbeknownst to the woman on the table, perforated her uterus, failed to remove all of the dead baby’s body parts from her body, and left her with “irreversible suffering and emotional damages.” Kindle, who allegedly did not administer drugs to stop the child’s heart in utero, supposedly dismembered the baby alive.
[…] Just one day after Kindle certified that the “[p]roducts of conception were visibly inspected and confirmed to be complete,” the complaint details, the woman called Equity Clinic twice with complaints of cramping, pressure, and difficulty breathing. She was advised to take over-the-counter pain medicine and a laxative.
It wasn’t until April 4, 2023, two days after the abortion was complete and one day after she had taken the medicine suggested by Equity Clinic, that the pained woman sought emergency care. When she arrived at a hospital in the neighboring state of Indiana, the woman was found to be suffering from uterine rupture, had “half of a deceased pre-born human being” in her pelvis, and “pieces of the fetal skull that were adherent to the patient’s intestine,” according to the complaint. —Federalist
Story 2: Back-Alley Abortions
Coat hangers are the symbol of pro-abortion activists because the claim that women will get them anyway through back alley abortions was used to justify doing it in the (perceived) relative safety of a clinic. (As the previous example shows, safety cannot truly be guaranteed in any case.) But one of the founders of NARAL is on the record as saying his organization knew it was purely a scary-sounding propaganda figure when they used that stat in the first place.
But that doesn’t mean illicit abortions are not real. In fact, some people are so dedicated to making the most intrusive method of preventing the birth of a child is widely available that they are willing to practice medicine without a license.
On March 17 Paxton announced the arrest of 48-year-old Maria Margarita Rojas — known as “Dr. Maria” — for “providing illegal abortions and illegally operating a network of clinics” near northwest Houston. The next day, he announced the arrest of 29-year-old Jose Manuel Cendan Ley for “the unlawful performance of an abortion and the unlicensed practice of medicine.” Rojas also faces charges for “practicing medicine without a license.”
The attorney general’s Healthcare Program Enforcement Division also “filed for a temporary restraining order to shut down Rojas’s network of clinics to prevent further illegal activity,” according to the release.
Murdering an unborn child through abortion is a second-degree felony in Texas. Rojas faces two charges for “prohibited dismemberment abortion” and two charges for “practicing medicine in violation of subtitle,” according to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office. Her bond was set at $500,000 for each abortion charge and $200,000 for each unlicensed practice charge. — TheFederalist
Keen observers will notice this is the same method of abortion that left the woman in the first story hospitalized… with even LESS accountability than the guy in Illinois for obvious reasons.
Activists will cry out this is the why we need more abortion access. The counter-argument would be that pregnant women have been lied to about the risks associated with abortion. In effect, they cannot exercise that most basic of patient’s rights when undergoing a procedure: informed consent.
Story 3: Abortion ‘Tourism’ (and its fellow-travelers)
So committed are they to making sure the unborn child does not live long enough to be welcomed by a mother or given up for adoption that there is an active movement to raise money so that people can travel from wherever they are to an abortion clinic — or a gender-reassignment clinic — or in some cases an elaborate ploy to help foreigners from China use surrogacy to game the system and confer US citizenship on children who are to be raised in China by its two Chinese biological parents… which is EXACTLY the kind of fake-American of divided loyalty scenario that Trump’s birthright citizenship changes will put an end to. (China story link here)
An example of such tourism as touted by a Connecticut elected representative:
The critical difference between conception and abortion is the relative indifference with respect to how invasive they are.
With conception you use a strategy to either (ideally) prevent the union of egg and sperm in the first place, which skips all the other risky steps that could follow, or (more controversial) you have one of several available strategies in place that makes the uterus itself hostile to the implantation of that now-fertilized egg. That new spark of life would end as abruptly as it began, flushed out of the body after having nowhere to call home.
Neither of these requires invasive steps that endanger the mother. Well, no more than the actual warning labels of the products themselves would suggest, anyway.
Once that child has attached itself to its mother, on the other hand, the attachment itself, and any changes that come along with the growth bring on new risks if the pregnancy comes to an abrupt end.
If some part of a living entity — especially with DNA different from the mother’s — is left behind, without a supply of nutrients, that tissue will die and become necrotic. That’s an infection waiting to happen.
The fair question to ask next would be — with so many abortions done every day, are these anecdotes that can be waved away as one-offs, or are they data points that might build to create a fact pattern?
Let’s put that question to a former insider
Mayra Rodriguez worked for Planned Parenthood. She was named 2016’s ‘Employee of the Year’. She won a wrongful dismissal suit. And she was a whistleblower. She has some thoughts on the topic.
During her time at Planned Parenthood, Mayra raised multiple concerns to a lead clinician about patients suffering bleeding, cramps, and other complications after one abortionist performed their abortions. The clinician told her that upper management would address the concerns, but the problems did not seem to improve.
Mayra recalled one harrowing story of a 19-year-old who had an abortion through dismemberment. The abortionist was supposed to account for all the baby’s body parts, but he allegedly made an assistant do so instead. She told him she was unable to find the baby’s head, but he had already inserted an IUD into the patient.
Mayra said the assistant told her as it was happening, and when she confronted the abortionist about it, he told her to “go find one in the trash.”
“At that moment, I’m going to confess, that something not only shocked me, because at this point I wasn’t shocked by anything he said, but angered me,” Mayra said. She said the doctor had to remove the IUD and complete the abortion after the ultrasound revealed the baby’s head was still in the patient’s womb. — ADFLegal
What does she think about Planned Parenthood’s REAL priorities?
Simply put, from the same article:
But after many years working for the largest abortion business in the nation, Mayra learned that Planned Parenthood doesn’t prioritize helping women. The organization prioritizes abortion, even when it comes at the expense of patients’ health and well-being.
Dems want to protect this funding at all costs.
Congress is looking at freezing and reviewing it. You know what to do.
