Schumer & Co. made sure that the now-infamous luggage thief got his Senate conservation, but have been so busy filibustering serious Trump candidates that they haven’t asked what price would be paid by their foot-dragging.
Dems LOVE big government — so long as they are the ones with their hands on the levers of power. But let the other team take charge and threaten to cut their Leviathan down to size and all hell breaks loose.
Shutting down the government has had an effect on US Nuclear Security questions. But that’s only part of the issue. Until Sen Thune broke the deadlock and started mass approval of positions that Democrats have been blocking Trump appointments to a degree not done to the appointments of ANY president before him.
That means, departments responsible for some important tasks will be ill-served and under-staffed for the job they are commissioned to carry out.
That includes the Nuclear sector. Energy Secretary Chris Wright explains precisely how our national security and nuclear programs have been degraded by the partisan games Schumer has been playing.
Yeah, why would we *possibly* need the department responsible for overseeing the engines of our nuclear subs to be working at full capacity….?
