Tolerance: Gay Bars Ban Yuengling Lager After Owner Endorses Trump

Similar to the pandemonium that descended upon Chick-fil-A when CEO Dan Cathy voiced support for traditional marriage, several gay bars have now banned "America's Oldest Brewery," Yuengling lager, because the owner publicly endorsed Trump for president.
After Richard Yuengling Jr. endorsed the real-estate mogul, Trump's son Eric visited Yuengling headquarters in Pottsvile, Pennsylvania, where he said of their support in a news conference: "My father’s going to make it a lot easier for business to function. We’re going to do it right here in the U.S."
Yeungling reportedly told Eric Trump: "Our guys are behind your father. We need him in there."
As a result of this wildly offensive endorsement, over a dozen gay bars have banned Yuengling's product. Establishments like JR’s Bar and Grill in Washington, D.C. cited Trump's VP Mike Pence as the reason for the ban due to his support for religious freedom while governor of Indiana.
"Pence is one of the biggest idiots ever," said JR's owner David Perruzza in a Facebook video, "and very anti-gay--probably one of the most anti-gay politicians ever...We're saying goodbye to Yuengling here at JR's. Just so you know, when people support things that don't support us, then we don't support them."
Other bars perpetuating the ban include: Dito’s, Town, Trade, Code, Annie’s, Nellie’s, Colbart, Dik Bar, Stoney’s, Freddie’s, Level One, DC’s Eagle, Number 9, Dirty Goose, 18th & Duplex, Green Lantern, Larry’s Lounge, Ziegfeld’s & Secrets and Kangaroo Boxing Club, Roll Call reported.
The leftists says "tolerance for thee, but not for me." Had any of these bars been Christian bakeries publicly banning certain ingredients because the owners endorsed same-sex marriage, the left would go cuckoo for Coco-Puffs, which, not without a bit of sad irony, the religious freedom law in Indiana sought to prevent.

Trump/Pence Vow to 'Repeal and Replace' Obamacare

Trump/Pence Vow to 'Repeal and Replace' Obamacare

"ObamaCare was a catastrophic failure. Hillary Clinton says she wants to double down on that failure."

Today marked the beginning of ObamaCare open enrollment, and candidate Donald Trump and running mate Mike Pence kicked things off by calling the program "a catastrophic failure" and pledging to make repealing and replacing the law a first order of business if elected.
Fox News reports that Trump, speaking in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, declared, "I will ask Congress to convene a special session so we can repeal and replace."
He and Pence pounced on the administration admission that premium rates on the ObamaCare exchanges will rise an average 25 percent next year across 39 states. The jumps are even higher in certain states like Arizona, where one county will see a 116 percent increase over their average premium in 2016.
“I stand before you today because open enrollment begins,” Pence said. “Once again millions of Americans will be disappointed by the lack of options and shocked by premiums.”
Pence pitched getting rid of individual mandates “because government shouldn’t tell you how to spend your money” and said under Trump’s plan, Americans  would be allowed to “purchase health insurance across state lines like life insurance.” They’d also create a transition period for subsidies to make sure there are no disruptions or hardships in coverage, he said.
Pence also hammered Obama's questionable decision to compare ObamaCare recently to Samsung phones:
“My favorite quote came from President Obama a week ago. He was celebrating the anniversary of the rollout. In his speech he actually compared ObamaCare to Samsung Galaxy Phones that burst into flames. I’m serious. President Obama said, quote, when one of these companies comes out with a smart phone with bugs, they fix and upgrade. Unless it catches fire, then they pull [it] off the market. Well, what a coincidence Mr. President. That’s what we are going to do with ObamaCare.”
"We can't trust Hillary Clinton with our health care any more than we can trust her with classified information," Pence continued. "ObamaCare was a catastrophic failure. Hillary Clinton says she wants to double down on that failure."
There remains the question of whether there would be enough votes in this or the next Congress to actually repeal the law.

Report: One New Immigrant for Every Two U.S. Births in 2015

The nation is on track to accept almost 2 million immigrants in just one year.

New government data from the Center for Immigration Studies shows 1.6 million legal and illegal immigrants settled in the United States during 2014, up 40 percent since President Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009.
Breitbart reports that the data also showed 914,000 immigrants in the first six months of 2015, putting the United States on track to accept almost 2 million immigrants in just one year.
Meanwhile almost 4 million Americans were born, and almost 4 million graduates turned 18 and began looking for jobs. That’s roughly one new immigrant, legal and illegal, for every two Americans who began looking for a job in 2015.
Almost 9 percent of all babies born in the United States during 2013 — about 300,000 — were birthed by illegal immigrants. If those births are discounted, notes the report, the likely 2015 inflow of migrants was very close to one immigrant for every two births to American parents, compared to two new immigrants for every five births or every five new graduates in 2014.
That huge inflow of migrants in 2014 and 2015 effectively increased the annual supply of new workers by almost 50 percent. The 2014 immigration pace was the highest level since almost 1.7 million immigrants arrived in 2000, although most of those who arrived in 2000 were illegally searching for jobs in the dot.com boom, writes Breitbart.
Breitbart has more:
That 2000 record is likely to have been broken during the second half of 2015, partly because of Obama’s decision to allow Central American migrants to cross the border and ask judges forasylum, work-permits and Green Cards. From October 2012 to October 2016, Obama has used his power over agencies to allow 300,000 Central American migrants to seek asylum, at a cost ofperhaps $200 billion over the next 75 years. Roughly 117,000 of those Central American migrants were admitted in 2016.

In 2014, roughly 1.1 million of the 1.5 million migrants were legally admitted, while roughly 400,000 were illegals, according to the CIS. Many of the illegals sneaked across the border, but others flew into the country and overstayed their visas.
During his tenure, Obama has sharply reduced border enforcementreduced repatriations and has done little to deport foreign criminals.
In 2013, Obama also worked with business groups and the established media for passage of an immigration bill that would have provided citizenship for 33 million migrants over 10 years, increased the inflow of refugees and allowed an unlimited number of foreign graduate students to get Green Cards each year. The so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” bill was blocked by public opposition.
However, Hillary Clinton has promised to implement many of those measures if she’s elected — including the award of Green Cards to foreign professionals who enroll in U.S. graduate schools alongside young debt-burdened American graduates.
Since 1965, the massive inflow of foreign migrants has pushed the total number of foreign-born people in the United States up to 43 million in 2015, alongside roughly 270 million Americans. That’s roughly one foreign-born person for every seven Americans. If the 11 million illegals are discounted, then 270 million Americans are living alongside 33 million legal immigrants. That’s almost one legal immigrant for every nine Americans, including the American-born children of the immigrants.
But the inflow has rapidly increased the numbers of immigrants and native-born Americans who speak a foreign language is their homes. “Newly released Census Bureau data shows that a record 64.7 million U.S. residents five years of age and older spoke a language other than English at home in 2015 … up 5.2 million since 2010 and increased by 1.5 million in just the last year,” according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

NY Times Mag: Trump is Right - Democrats Have Failed Blacks

"Let that uncomfortable truth sink in."

The New York Times Magazine has published an essay by a black reporter arguing that the essence of candidate Donald Trump’s criticism of the Democratic party rings true: it has "failed and betrayed the African-American community."
While far from painting a pro-Trump portrait, civil rights reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones noted in “Donald Trump’s Inconvenient Truth” that Trump's "surreal" comments at a recent North Carolina campaign rally carried the usual law-and-order rhetoric, but with "an unexpected twist":
“Our job is to make life more comfortable for the African-American parent who wants their kids to be able to safely walk the streets,’’ Trump said. ‘‘Or the senior citizen waiting for a bus, or the young child walking home from school. For every one violent protester, there are a hundred of moms and dads and kids on the same city block who just want to be able to sleep safely at night.”
He pointed out the high unemployment rate among black men in Milwaukee, the number of households run by single mothers who were living in poverty and the low high-school-graduation rates. “I am asking for the vote of every African-American citizen struggling in our country today who wants a different and much better future,” Trump told the crowd, which at times stood eerily silent. “It is time for our society to address some honest and very, very difficult truths. The Democratic Party has failed and betrayed the African-American community.” Trump went on to say that Hillary Clinton “panders and talks down to communities of color,” “seeing them only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future.” It was time, Trump proclaimed, that Democrats compete for black votes.
The "message was presumably targeted at white moderates, the independents and disillusioned Bernie Sanders legions," Hannah-Jones writes. "Trump was speaking more directly about the particular struggles of working-class black Americans and describing how the government should help them more than any presidential candidate in years. Let that uncomfortable truth sink in."
"Whatever his motives," she continued, "Trump was talking about the black working class in a way that few national politicians do... [F]ar too often, the way Democrats talk to, and about, black Americans is indistinguishable from the way their Republican counterparts do. And President Obama has been as guilty as anyone."
Hannah-Jones hastens to add that much of what Trump said is just "rhetoric" and that black voters shouldn't necessarily "buy what Trump is selling," but "by brushing Trump’s criticism off as merely cynical or clueless rantings, we are missing an opportunity to have a real discussion of the failures of progressivism and Democratic leadership when it comes to black Americans."
"If Democrats want to keep black voters, they need to work for those votes," she concludes.
Of course, that won't happen, at least not the way Hannah-Jones means, because the Democratic Party has a vested interest in dividing this country racially and perpetuating a victim narrative among blacks and Hispanics in order to posture as their savior.

Pro-Trump University of Pittsburgh Students Face Violence, Vandalism

“I felt unsafe when there was a hoard of people clapping and cheering along with the girl screaming at me for being a woman behind a Trump table.”

Campus Reform reports that outside of Hillman Library Monday at the University of Pittsburgh, Youth for Trump once again faced vandalism, protests, and death threats, culminating in a student running behind the table and ripping down the “Youth for Trump” sign with such force that the tree limb to which it was attached broke.
Lindsey Hern, a senior at the school, told The Pitt Maverick that students surrounded the table yelling profanities shortly after the sign was ripped down, making her fear for her safety, especially when another female student began screaming “How can you be a woman and support Trump?” Hern actually called campus police twice out of fear for her personal safety.
“I felt unsafe when there was a hoard of people clapping and cheering along with the girl screaming at me for being a woman behind a Trump table,” Hern recounted. “It was as if, because I was a woman, I don’t have the choice to choose who I support for president and have to succumb to some mold. I was horrified and scared for my safety because of my views.”
According to Pitt sophomore Kirk Breiner, who was present for a majority of the tabling, another protester screamed “F*ck Trump and f*ck your racist asses” and “You’re all racists and fascists.”
The participants also received a death threat from a fellow student, who screamed “Can I shoot them first?” at the Trump supporters before entering a vehicle. The same student later returned to continue harassing the tabling participants, honking at them from the vehicle and then flipping the middle finger at them.
One student can be heard shouting at Youth for Trump that they “have no place in America,” are “un-American,” and are voting for a “racist child molester.”
Last Wednesday, Youth for Trump experienced similar aggression when students flipped their table over. Dean Kenyon Bonner issued a statement in response, urging students to “uphold the values of mutual respect, civility, and self restraint." Good luck enforcing that among campus leftist totalitarians.
One anonymous male student told the Maverick, “I personally don’t fear for my safety, I’m a big guy and can protect myself,” he explained. “But for a girl with a Trump hat on, I certainly would be fearful on this campus.”
But we're constantly told it's the Trump supporters who are the violent ones, right?

Stanford Review: Millennials Need to Stop Virtue-Signaling and Educate Themselves Politically

Stanford Review: Millennials Need to Stop Virtue-Signaling and Educate Themselves Politically

"We do not hesitate to shut down the dissenting opinions of those within our own communities."

56
An opinion writer at The Stanford Review Monday urged fellow millennials to cease their shallow virtue-signaling and start acquiring a deeper understanding of complex political issues.
In "Millennials and the Decline of Political Thought," Berber Jin complained that "[t]he political involvement of our generation is becoming increasingly devoid of substance":
[T]he disturbingly reductionist approach we take in responding to such problems reflects a troubling trend that is taking root amongst millennials: a tendency to morally simplify complex political issues. We “virtue signal,” expressing viewpoints that are trending in our communities to fulfill our own narcissistic desires for acceptance.
Fueled by the rise of social media, engaging in the nuances of policy is sacrificed in the name of moral clarity as we jump to self-righteous conclusions to satisfy an online audience. Dialogue becomes obsolete, preventing us from appreciating the complexity of today’s thorniest issues and from being able to generate solutions to society’s most pressing problems.
Arguing that social media platforms encourage "armchair activists" to engage in the least effective gestures of political change: "brief affirmations of solidarity," Jin writes that rather than take time to understand the candidates and the issues, fellow millennials look for "a convenient way to bandwagon onto the trending, progressive movements of our generation."
Jin even called out social justice warriors for their very non-diverse totalitarianism: "[W]e do not hesitate to shut down the dissenting opinions of those within our own communities."
"Virtue signaling is easy," Jin concludes. It "does not require us to be educated about policy, only that we distill complex moral and social problems into a memorable hashtag or Facebook post. We become accepted by our communities, receiving the external validation we so often seek on social media."
"It is our responsibility to deviate from such a culture and engage in the harder task of understanding the nuances and moral complexity of current issues."
