Buried in the Old City of Memphis but from what time?

　

I am from your future; I am not allowed to tell you the exact time. What I can tell you is that you should have been better prepared. When the change came it came fast. No one really noticed that first moment. That moment that would change everything. For it first started when there rose up in the night skies a foreboding red presence. It had been here before, yet before written time last it came. But It was here now. FOR NOW THE ENTIRE WORLD WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE.

Now the time is the present, let us see.

Something very wonderful had happened. It seems that for better protection, a safe guard against personal identity theft had been developed somewhere in the Netherlands. A security chip was created that could track all of our financial information and even capable of doing finance exchanges all through this chip that would be implanted in the users hand. This was proclaimed the discovery of the 21st century in the financial district. Mankind would finally have the paperless society they have always dreamed of. But back then we did not realize just what the real cost would be.

It had taken a good year before most of main line banking had made the switch to the product that was known as the quick chip. All your personal banking and food purchases as well as all your everyday money needs were now being handled through the use of the quick chip. It was sold as the next leap for mankind, the saver of all the trees in the world.

It was even advertised as the tree huggers all in one card. Why not have it all. Funny the all in one card that was advertised as free and no cost, would come to cost all those who used it, to lose everything and be the costliest cost of all.
