Today's Israel Inspiration

King Omri, described in today's verse, was not a righteous king of Israel, yet he merited offspring who continued his kingship, whereas the preceding evil rulers did not. Our Sages explain that Omri merited to have three sons follow him on his throne because
he built a great city in the Land of Israel. Supporting and building up Israel is not only the right thing to do, but it brings blessings into our lives! Here's a wonderful opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of building in the Land by 'buying a brick' in United Hatzalah's vital new emergency dispatch center, the LifeCompass Command Center. The new center will help save more lives and is designed to function during a war, natural disaster, terror attack or mass casualty incident in Israel.
