Dalai Lama: There are no Muslim or Christian terrorists
“There are no Muslim or Christian terrorists because terrorists are no more religious once they embrace terror, Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said.”
The Dalai Lama is assuming that Islam and Christianity teach peace, and that to do violence in the name of either is to depart from its teachings. He apparently cannot conceive of the possibility of a religion that commands its adherents to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60). But these teachings of Islam are not hidden. It wouldn’t have been hard for the Dalai Lama to discover them. Instead, he shares with the Pope a fatuity and willful ignorance regarding Islam that only fosters complacency and ignorance of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat among those who take each of them seriously.
