Pay Attention to This NewsYou may have missed it in the aftermath of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and Biden’s resignation from the campaign, but last week U.S. intelligence agencies were reported to be tracking what was described an Iran-based assassination plot against Trump unrelated to the Pennsylvania shooting. Apparently it stemmed from revenge for the strike ordered by Trump that killed Iran’s Major General Qassim Suleimani in 2020. The intelligence came from “multiple agencies,” the New York Times reported. Iran has targeted Americans before, but attempting to assassinate an American political candidate would risk full-scale war with the U.S., “so U.S. officials were trying to determine if it was merely aspirational or if there was a concrete plan.” 4. Link of the WeekAccording to The Jerusalem Post, a Jewish American comedian named Zach Fox traveled to Ramallah, a Palestinian city in the central West Bank, where he talked to residents on the ground. He started with the question “Are you supportive of Hamas?” and almost every answer was “Yes.” Most of the Palestinians he spoke to expressed “unwavering support for Hamas, antisemitic views, and an antipathy towards a two-state solution.” Accompanied by a translator and cameraman, Fox did not reveal that he was Jewish. After recording the footage, he told the newspaper he was shocked by the comments. “There was not one person who didn’t like Hamas,” he said. “All of them hated Jews with every bone of their body.” 7.
