No, Joe Biden. Abortion is Not a Sacrament

As the Irish like to say, “Cheer up everyone, it’s Lent.”

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden, the first Catholic president since John F. Kennedy, will observe Ash Wednesday, the onset of Lent. This sacred day, symbolic of repentance and spiritual reflection for Catholics around the nation, is the most attended Mass day in the Catholic Church despite not being a Holy Day of Obligation.

The long-established scandal of Biden outwardly supporting abortion for decades while also publicly touting his Catholiciscm will reach an all-time high in 2024 with abortion being front and center of his reelection effort. Biden advocates for policies that contravene the core religious morals and values of his faith, notably promoting abortion which is the cornerstone of his reelection campaign.

It seems the Bill Clinton era of advocating for abortion to be ‘Safe, Legal, and Rare’ has decisively ended, giving way to an unrelenting campaign aimed at ensuring abortion is universally accessible—anytime, anywhere, without exception or restraint, without embarrassment, even with glee.

The Biden administration’s strategic positioning of abortion at the forefront of its 2024 strategy is unmistakable, underscored by a nationwide blitz of advertisements sharply criticizing former President Trump’s instrumental role in the overturning of Roe v. Wade and drawing a clear line in the sand in the ongoing cultural and political battle over abortion.

The administration has also proudly mobilized Vice President Kamala Harris to spearhead what has been dubbed  the ‘Reproductive Rights Tour.’ This initiative signifies an effort to champion the access to abortion across the nation, placing the Vice President at the head of this contentious issue. True, the tour seeks to galvanize support amidst a deeply divided electorate but, even moreso, it’s a testament to the administration’s dedication to abortion as their political sacrament.

There are others on the political Left who have voiced support for abortion by invoking religious justification. Actress Alyssa Milano, articulated her pro-abortion stance, suggested that the decision to have an abortion should involve a woman, her physician, and, you guessed it – God.

Chelsea Clinton went so far as to say it is downright ‘unchristian’ to overturn Roe v. Wade. The God card to promote abortion is nothing new but even Planned Parenthood has never used it to promote abortion at 40 weeks-term abortion.

The broken morality of Hollywood celebrities and elites perfectly aligns with the detached celebration of the barbaric nature of abortion by Biden and others on the Left. And though they cast their positions as “pro-choice” and “pro-women’s rights,” progressives don’t really care about women. They don’t acknowledge that the majority of pro-life Americans are women, they often oppose legislation that would support single moms wanting free services from pregnancy centers, and they now outright deny that motherhood by pushing the anti-science garbage of “pregnant persons.”

According to a British study published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B, becoming a parent “leads to increases in socially conservative attitudes, and that parenthood is associated with social conservatism around the globe.” By advocating for policies that not only support but actively promote abortion, and by discouraging women from pursuing motherhood, Democrats are trying to shape the electorate to their advantage.

Rather than pursuing truly pro-women policies, the pro-abortion left wants to keep women unhappy, unmarried, and forever locked into meaningless, unfulfilling lives. The longer they stay there, the longer they clinch their votes. So, it seems Democrats have found their sweet spot: misery.

On the other hand, religion seeks to assuage human suffering. As we enter the Holy Season of Lent, examining our priorities and preparing to celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of our Savior, we have an opportunity to change our lives. We can embrace His word and live more enriched, happier lives.

Of course, imperfection is a human condition shared by all. But we don’t have to revel in it, we can change, reform, and be free.

Sin and misalignment with our faith’s teachings are struggles we, as humans, universally face. Yet, President Biden’s fervent championing, promotion, and near veneration of abortion stand in stark contradiction not just to his professed Catholic faith, but to the very essence of the moral and ethical teachings it upholds.

This Ash Wednesday, as President Biden steps forward to receive his ashes—a symbol of repentance and humility—we need to pray for his conversion. Not in a condescending or political way, but in a real way. His words and actions for decades suggest he doesn’t take the Catholic Church’s teaching on human dignity – which aligns with the biological reality of the unborn – seriously. This is not a small issue but a large elephant in the room of his soul and everyone can see it.

Lent is the time for repentance and change for all of us, public or private because all of us have to answer once the ultimate reality takes place of “from dust you came and dust you shall return.”

Kamala Harris Says She’s “Ready” to be President, But She’s America’s Biggest Abortion Cheerleader

With Joe Biden’s mental health facing massive questions from Americans, attention has turned to Kamala Harris.

There’s question as to whether Biden will be able to complete his term and if Harris would have to step in to complete it. And there’s an even bigger question about whether Biden will actually complete his re-election campaign, or will someone else appear on the ballot as a substitute for him.

If Democrats turn to his vice-president, Harris says she’s ready to go.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Harris was asked if voters’ concerns about Biden’s age and mental fitness meant she must convince them that she is ready to take over.

“I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that,” Harris responded. She claimed that everyone who sees her on the job “walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead.”

A recent Harvard CAPS / Harris poll found that if Biden decided not to run again, Harris would be the top choice among Democrat voters at 15%. After Harris, 8% of voters wanted Hillary Clinton, 7% wanted Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), 7% wanted Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), 5% wanted California Governor Gavin Newsom.

But Harris support abortions up to birth, financed at taxpayer expense, and without limits.

Last month she literally clapped for killing babies in abortions. During a stop in Wisconsin to promote abortion, Harris leads a round of applause for a woman and her husband who traveled to Minnesota to get an abortion.

Harris then lied about women supposedly not getting medical care in non-abortion circumstances.

“Let us understand the horrific reality that women are facing every single day since Roe was overturned,” Harris said. “I have met women who have had miscarriages in toilets because they were refused care. I met a woman who went to the emergency room during a miscarriage and was turned away because doctors were afraid they would be thrown in jail for giving her care.”

“The extremists are not done,” Harris said, condemning pro-life legislation to protect more babies.

She then attacked Donald Trump and condemned him for appointing the justices who overturned Roe and allowed states to protect babies from abortion.

“The former president hand-picked three Supreme Court Justices because he intended for them to overturn Roe. He made a decision to take your freedoms and it is a decision he does not regret,” Harris said.

But most Americans strongly disagree with Harris’ radical views pushing abortions up to birth.

A new national poll conducted by Marist University finds that two-thirds of Americans support pro-life laws that place limits on abortions.

The 2024 Knights of Columbus-Marist Poll results, released today, reveal that 66% of Americans support placing legal limits on abortion, and that nearly 6 in 10 support limiting abortions to the first three months of pregnancy.

This survey, conducted by the Marist Poll also found that 83% of Americans support pregnancy resource centers, which offer support to mothers both during their pregnancy and after their baby is born.

Additionally, the poll found that two-thirds of Americans believe healthcare professionals with religious objections to abortions should not be legally required to perform them, while 86% of respondents believe that laws can protect both the mother and her unborn child.

Gretchen Whitmer Thinks We Need to Promote Killing More Babies in Abortions State | Chris Alexis | Feb 12, 2024 | 6:59PM | Lansing, Michigan

Gretchen Whitmer Thinks We Need to Promote Killing More Babies in Abortions

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer thinks President Joe Biden should talk more about “abortion rights” as he runs for reelection. She believes this matches Biden’s view that women, along with their families and healthcare professionals, strongly support ending preborn lives.

Whitmer appeared on Face the Nation recently and anchor Margaret Brennan asked the

Michigan governor if Biden, who is Catholic, should push pro-abortion messaging more.

Whitmer’s response?

“I think it would be good if he did.”

Good? Perhaps the governor is having a hard time reading the room.

About six months ago, the results of a Gallup poll gave insights into actual views held by Americans on abortion.

Forty-one percent of Americans consider themselves “pro-life,” a 4% increase from last year. Additionally, more people, now at 41%, believe abortion is “morally wrong,” up from 38%.

While there’s a small rise in those supporting legal abortion in the first three months, the majority still oppose abortion after the first trimester. Fifty-five percent think it should be “generally illegal” in the second trimester, and 70% feel the same about the third trimester.

Despite biased media coverage on pro-life issues, with a focus on problems related to pro-life laws, there’s not much attention given to the positive work of pregnancy help centers and state policies helping pregnant women.

Of course, Whitmer just keeps pushing the slaughter of unborn babies. She stepped into a lot of controversy a couple of months back when she used her pen to make partial-birth abortions much more accessible.

Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International, was frank in his assessment of the Democrat Michigan governor.

“Governor Whitmer proves to be more pro-abortion than pro-choice in that she cut state funding for Michigan women to find alternatives to abortion,” Godsey said. “Her emphasis on more risky late-term and chemical abortions shows she’s also more pro-abortionist than pro-woman.”

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America State Affairs Director Sue Liebel also expressed concern, calling these measures uncompassionate. Partial-birth abortion involves partially delivering a live baby, crushing its skull, and vacuuming out the brain.

“Future generations will look back on this with disdain,” Liebel said of Witmer’s signing of bills that remove the state’s partial-birth abortion ban, eliminate health and safety standards for abortion facilities required for any other medical facility, and allow abortion facilities to conceal information from women about risks and complications. “We look forward to the day when Democrats like Gretchen Whitmer can look beyond their political commitment to the abortion industry to oppose these brutal procedures.”

Liebel also warns other states to consider abortion-related amendments in 2024, citing Michigan as a warning. The bills remove protections for babies and women, aiming for complete deregulation to boost the abortion industry’s profits at the expense of women’s health.

These bills put women at risk by eliminating clinic licensing, inspections, and reporting of complications. Patients’ right to informed consent, explaining the procedure and risks, is also lifted, contrary to the preference of 72% of Michigan voters.

In the end, we need to keep fighting the good fight. Together, we can continue to grow the number of people who consider themselves pro-life, and we can stand against the stance of Gretchen Whitmer, who does not understand the true heart of our country.
