In our verse, Jethro advises Moses on setting up a more efficient way of
settling grievances, a type of court system, that will allow the litigants to
return home 'to their
place' swiftly. The verse is actually hinting that this system
of justice will allow the nation to arrive in its place -- the Land of Israel --
in peace, as Isaiah 1:27 states, “Zion shall be redeemed with justice.” (from
Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim Luntschitz). One organization has taken this pursuit of
justice, inherent to the Land of Israel, very seriously. Shurat HaDin has won a
judgement for $655 million in damages from the Palestinian Authority in an
American court, after mounting an unbeatable case for the PA's implicit guilt in
the deaths of dozens of Jewish and Israeli terror victims. Sound impossible?
Learn how they did it.
