Why would companies pay for a certification that wont result in a revenue since they are not advertising it, muslims wont buy it as a first choice?. It will be logical as the jewish comunity does they give a certification and the company labels its products "kosher pareve". I do not doubt radical islamic terrorists use the money to advance their world domination dogmatic mandate, but how and why do companies comply to such demand? With out a payback.
I'm not for banning people from doing or saying anything they want.....
......but I really do question the concept of "freedom of religion " in a free country.
Should we allow freedom to people or entities that want to take away freedom??
Also, should it be done at taxpayers expense???
Religion should be taxed out of existence. For being able to lie- especially to children. Dumbing down society, and just for being a liability to humanity in general.
Should be labelled with the halal sign so people can make their own choice. I worked with food so will not eat anything which hasn't been stunned first. Other practices are cruel imho so I will not have anything to do with them. Working with animals I know killing an animal without stunning them causes suffering and animal rights charities are in agreement. After working with animals I can say I don't eat much meat. When you see the process it can be a little off putting but watching an animal struggle to stand while it is bleeding out is just awful.
Stay away from Tyson Chicken, any lamb that isn't from your local farmers, Naan bread, and there are a couple yogurt makers who are halal(can't remember their names right now.) Most Walmart Beef is Halal.
