Indiana's Abortion Laws Targeted by Abortion Industry in New Lawsuit

Fichter: Indiana's Pro-Life Elected Officials Will Protect Women and Children
INDIANAPOLIS - Whole Woman's Health Alliance (WWHA) and Bloomington's pro-abortion, All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center, are suing Indiana over its abortion laws. The lawsuit is targeting many abortion laws, including informed consent measures, physical building standards and more.

"The abortion industry has never found an abortion law it likes, even when the laws protect women's health and safety," said Mike Fichter, President and CEO of Indiana Right to Life. "The new lawsuit by WWHA and Bloomington's pro-abortion, All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center, is led by organizations who care more about profits than the women they claim to serve. WWHA has made no secret it is repulsed by Indiana's abortion laws. We believe this is why WWHA came to Indiana - to gain standing in order to dismantle every meaningful abortion law in the wake of Hellerstedt, WWHA's Supreme Court victory.

"Indiana is ground zero in the fight to protect women and unborn children. We are confident Indiana's elected officials will remain steadfast in their defense of women and children and swiftly and strongly fight WWHA's lawsuit."

Indiana Right to Life's mission is to protect the right to life, especially of unborn children, through positive education, compassionate advocacy and promotion of healthy alternatives to abortion.
