This is it – Last Call Day for the Fall campaign!
After this email there will be no more special letters or notes asking for donations. We understand that many of you will be relieved. The same goes for us. However, these campaigns are what we must do to pay our many bills and salaries.
Donations have really been pouring in since last night. Last night I noted that we were $85,000 short of the goal. Now it is only (relatively speaking) $42,000. Wow! Thank you to all the respondents. We are greatly relieved.
We will keep the thermometer up on the home page for a few more days so you can keep track of all the last-minute online donations and the mailed donations we receive on Monday and Tuesday.
As for the news today, I will mention only three of several significant items.
Calvin Freiburger sums the whole sordid mess of the Kavanaugh hearings in his
article and
excellent commentary today. I am sure that many of you, like myself, felt positively ill at how depraved the Democratic left has gone to try to destroy this man simply because he is a constitutional conservative.
It took only a few hours after the signing of the Vatican agreement with China. The government-approved Chinese Patriotic church has
declared its “independence,” stating that it will remain loyal to the Communist Party.
Can you imagine that? A Communist “Catholic” Church, which of course can only be a false Church.
All critics of the agreement, especially
Cardinal Zen, have been vindicated.
This is a large-scale disaster not only for the Church in China but for the Church and all Christians in general. I can’t be convinced that Cardinal Parolin and Pope Francis did not know that this would happen. One would have had to be deaf and dumb to not see this coming. So the question is, what are Francis and his appointed close circle of leftist collaborators really up to? Where are they taking the Church?
It is frightening. Resistance must increase.
Oh, and by the way, who would you rather have as your bishop – Archbishop Chaput or Francis appointee Cardinal Blase Cupich? It should be an easy choice for any faithful Catholic, especially after reading
this article.
God bless you all. Have a blessed weekend.
