Tipping Point Saturday Seven (11.18.23)"Do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is"I’m so grateful for your patience as we awaited the physical, printed copies of our new book about the Israel-Gaza War. As we have been sharing, our book What’s Next? Israel-Gaza War: Connecting Today's Headlines to Tomorrow's Prophetic Events is now available on Amazon. You can order paperback copies here. These books are being printed on demand—that’s why we chose Amazon as a platform rather than publishing these in advance, the traditional way—which allowed us to get them into print faster than usual. However, this sometimes will result in delivery times longer than what you may expect from Amazon. Please continue to be patient. Your ordered books will arrive! We hope you will purchase multiple copies so your friends and family can gain the right context about this conflict and its relation to Bible prophecy. As always, we’d love for you to share Tipping Point with anyone you think would appreciate this site. 1. Wisdom from Scripture“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”—Ephesians 5:15-17 NKJV 2. Quote to Consider“The signs are here. All indicators reveal the End Time stage is visibly being set exactly as the Bible predicted for the climatic conclusion of the Church Age. Israel has been prophetically reborn as a nation, is prospering in many ways, and yet is increasingly surrounded by enemies desiring her demise. Despite fluctuations, the Middle East moves ever closer to the Bible’s predictions. The cumulative geopolitical alignments, societal conditions, and ‘birth pangs’ mirror precisely the marks of what Jesus and the prophets said would signal His coming.” [from our new book What’s Next? Israel-Gaza War] 3. Pay Attention to This NewsThe United States has sent a nuclear submarine, the USS Florida, into Middle Eastern waters. It is capable of launching precision missile strikes “against targets hundreds of miles away” while submerged, and is viewed as a deterrent for the purpose of keeping other nations—like Iran—from jumping into the Israel-Hamas war. The USS Florida is said to be able to carry up to 154 Tomahawk missiles (long-range, subsonic cruise missiles) but not nuclear missiles. It joins 14 other U.S. Navy ships in the region. 4. Comment of the Week“It’s comforting for sure for those experiencing earthly pains of their own, but also comforting that loved ones who departed with pain, now experience all that Heaven has to offer. Thank you Lord.” —Tipping Point subscriber Dennis in the comments after my article “Pleasures Forevermore” about the coming time of no sorrow, no crying and no more pain. 5. Definition of the Week: ReverenceReverence: The response of the heart toward the holiness and majesty of God, including the emotions of honor and respect but also outward demonstrations of that response through worship. Hebrews 12:28 says believers should “serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” (NKJV). Psalm 89:7 says God is “greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around him” (NKJV). In the New Testament, more than one Greek word is typically translated into the English word reverence. The most common are the Greek words for “modesty” (Hebrews 12:28, NKJV) and “fear” (Hebrews 12:9, KJV), which modern versions sometimes translate respect. Reverence is not formality, but the loving, grateful response of a transformed heart. 6. Link of the WeekThe Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University has released the results of a new research study by Dr. George Barna, and it reveals that today’s American children are not developing a biblical worldview in line with previous generations of children. Only 7 out of 10 children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old believe God exists “and is the all-knowing, all-powerful, perfect Creator and ruler of the universe.” And only 35 percent believe sin is real and significant. The study states that most children’s beliefs about God are solidified by the age of 13. Studies like this one are the reason I wrote my recent parenting book, Fighting for the Soul of Your Child. 7.
