And Megyn Kelly revealed the secret weapon Democrats are banking on to win the election. The conventional wisdom is that the 2024 Election is going to be a rematch of former President Donald Trump against President Joe Biden.
Panic has set in among Democrats that Biden is too old and unpopular to win a second term.
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly speculated that the election could be turned upside down with a surprise replacement for Biden on her SiriusXM show.
Kelly noted that former President Barack Obama “went and spoke with Biden over the weekend saying the direction of the campaign is not right.”
She said that 2024 would be a “whole new ballgame” if former First Lady Michelle Obama entered the race.
“Enter Michelle Obama,” Kelly said. “All the speculation about whether Biden can make it — and he got lost even at the last event he was wandering around on the stage when he made his January 6th remarks. [Jill] Biden had to save him.” The former Fox News host pointed to an interview by Michelle Obama on the On Purpose podcast as eyebrow-raising.
“Michelle Obama is on this popular podcast, though I’ve never heard of it, but apparently it is popular with this guy,” Kelly said. “She has nothing to promote, she has no book, she has no event, so that means she called them and said, ‘I have something to say.’”
Obama admitted on the podcast the terrifying possibilities of the 2024 Election are keeping her awake at night.
“And she very clearly has something to say,” Kelly continued. “The only question is why is she saying it? To help Joe Biden or to help herself, to lay the foundation for her emergence on the national scene in some political way.”
Obama’s concerns about the election were seen by some as a vote of no confidence in Biden’s ability to win in November. “Number one, all the things she’s talking about to kick it off are about rhetoric. ‘Who speaks for us? Who has the bully pulpit?’ That’s all her husband did,” Kelly remarked. “That’s all he had. He was a talented orator… so no wonder she’s touting that as like the thing we need in a President.”
Obama mentioned during the podcast that the government does everything for us, and Kelly speculated that could be a potential campaign theme.
“And then our second point, ‘a government does everything’. ‘They do it all, everything.’ That’s what we need. That’s gonna be her platform,” Kelly added.
Kelly called Obama a “powerful Democrat weapon” and said that “if she comes out as a candidate, it’s a whole new ballgame because there’s no question she’s more talented than Joe Biden is politically. No question.”
Michelle Obama could be the Hail Mary candidate for Democrats to save themselves from defeat in November.
