No Joe Biden, There is No Right to Kill Babies in Abortions in the Constitution

Joe Biden used the State of the Union address to push abortion on-demand Tuesday night, following his party’s attempt to pass the most extreme anti-Life bill in American history.

Nowhere in the Constitution is there a “right” to kill unborn babies, but Biden said that abortion “[advances]liberty and justice.”

In reality, abortion has robbed liberty and justice from over 63 million preborn children since 1973.

Joe Biden is undoubtedly the most pro-abortion president ever.

Since taking office, Biden and his administration:

  • Sued Texas to block the Texas Heartbeat Act (this was later thrown out by the U.S. Supreme Court)
  • Forced taxpayers to fund abortions overseas
  • Stacked his cabinet with anti-Life radicals, including in the FDA and HHS
  • Rescinded protections that kept Title X taxpayer money away from Planned Parenthood
  • Loosened restrictions on dangerous chemical abortions
  • Nominated a Supreme Court justice praised by pro-abortion groups

Biden did, however, get one thing right: Roe v. Wade is under attack like never before. And that’s a good thing! We made HISTORIC gains in 2021 to protect preborn children, especially through the Texas Heartbeat Act. In 2022, we could even see the Supreme Court weaken or entirely overturn Roe.

Roe v. Wade and subsequent cases allow abortion at any time in pregnancy for any reason.

For almost 50 years, Roe has perpetrated grave injustice against the nation’s most defenseless. The decision has upended our constitutional order, robbing Americans of their ability to enact legislation that protects preborn children. The upcoming Supreme Court case from Mississippi (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) takes a direct shot at Roe, questioning “whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional.” The answer is no—because the Constitution forbids no such law at any point in pregnancy.

Texas Right to Life filed a court brief last July urging the justices to overturn Roe.

If the court reverses Roe, the issue of abortion will be decided state by state. Thus, elective abortion will be completely outlawed in Texas.

A ruling in the Mississippi case will likely occur in June 2022.

Oklahoma House Committee Passes Texas-Style Law That Bans Abortions State | Steven Ertelt | Mar 2, 2022 | 7:27PM | Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Oklahoma House Committee Passes Texas-Style Law That Bans Abortions

A House committee in Oklahoma on Wednesday approved a pro-life law that would ban abortions in the same manner as Texas did. The Texas abortion ban is a unique law that has been on the books for 183 days and saved as many as 17,000 babies from abortions.

The House Public Health Committee passed the measure by a party-line vote and sent it to the full House. The chamber is expected to pass the measure as well.

Under the bill, just like the Texas law, abortionists are prohibited from killing babies in abortions and, instead of a criminal enforcement by state or local officials, the law allows private individuals to file a civil lawsuit against abortionists or those helping abortionists to end the life of the unborn child.

The Texas law has saved thousands of babies from abortions but some abortion centers in Oklahoma have been selling more abortions and this measure, in concert with the Texas law, would ensure more babies are protected.

Last month, an Oklahoma Senate committee voted to approve four pro-life bills to protect babies, including an abortion ban.

“This is an opportunity to save more Oklahomans. I hope that we see a good decision out of the U.S. Supreme Court, but we can’t wait around for that,” Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat told the committee, Fox 23 News reports. “We need to save unborn life.”

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule this summer on a Mississippi abortion case that could overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to protect unborn babies from abortion again.

Treat said the bills will make sure Oklahoma can begin protecting unborn babies’ right to life as soon as the high court allows states to do so.

One bill, Senate Bill 1553, would ban abortions more than 30 days after a woman’s last menstrual period. Another, Senate Bill 1503, modeled after the Texas heartbeat law, would prohibit abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy, and allow private citizens to sue abortionists who break the law.

A third bill, Senate Joint Resolution 37, would amend the state constitution to ensure that “nothing in the Constitution secures or protects a right to an abortion.” To be ratified, the amendment must pass the legislature and then a state-wide ballot vote.

The committee also passed Senate Bill 1552 to provide grants through the Choosing Childbirth Act to help pregnant mothers find medical and housing assistance, adoption services, parenting education, job assistance and more.

About 4,000 unborn babies are aborted every year in Oklahoma, according to state health statistics.

All across the country, state lawmakers have introduced hundreds of pro-life bills this year in anticipation that the Supreme Court could overturn Roe this summer. Since 1973, states have been forced to legalize abortions without limits up to viability, and more than 63.5 million unborn babies have been killed.

The Guttmacher Institute estimates 26 states “are certain or likely to ban abortions” if the Supreme Court gets rid of Roe. And researchers estimated that abortion numbers would drop by about 120,000 in the first year and potentially even more in subsequent years if the high court allows states to ban abortions again.

Margaret was frustrated.

A cycle of abortion in her own family motivated Margaret to lead a 40 Days for Life campaign in Helena, Montana…

…but she hadn’t confirmed a single saved baby, converted abortion worker, or any positive results at all.

To make matters worse, she learned that her granddaughter was pregnant–and planning to have an abortion.

It was a low moment. But then Margaret’s volunteers informed her that they had saved their first baby! And that’s not all–it turns out the saved baby was Margaret’s great-grandchild!
