A GLORIOUS TESTIMONY OF ONE MAN'S SALVATION:
FROM ASSASSIN TO ETERNAL LIFE!-
FROM ASSASSIN TO ETERNAL LIFE!-
I can never forget the testimony of a man I met a while ago, who lived in a Christian retreat close to my home there in SC. His name was Steve C., and one day he invited me into his home to share his past.
Steve was raised as a satanist by his parents, in the mountains of North Carolina. In those mountains, many families are often multigenerational satanists, passed down from father to son for many years, even hundreds of years in some cases.
As an adult, he was approached by the CIA, who offered to hire him. As several of my friends, former CIA, admitted to me, the CIA often hires satanists for assassin positions. The reasoning is that they are already cold-blooded killers who kill without a twinge of conscience, and are willing to do the dirty work without a problem. And it is not only the CIA who operates this way: many intelligence agencies and military operations throughout the world also do this as well.
Steve had been working at times with a partner in assassination assignments. Having completed his 17th hit, he was in a car his accomplice was driving, when suddenly he drove into a secluded alley. Taking out his gun, he ordered Steve out of the car and to stand against the wall of a building in the alley.
Steve complied, certain he was about to die that day.
"He began to open fire on me at close range, " Steve said. "But the unbelievable happened...NOT ONE BULLET TOUCHED MY BODY!"
Realizing that SOMETHING DIVINE WAS INTERVENING, mysteriously protecting Steve from death, the gunman became terrified, threw down his weapon and ran away from the scene of the crime.
Steve was shaking uncontrollably by then. But he also realized that for whatever reason, God had powerfully intervened in his life! Steve knew he did not deserve this! Could it be that God loved him, a sinner, just like the Bible said?
Steve was deeply moved, and became a Christian after this incredible experience. He laid down his gun forever, and came out of the darkness to follow Jesus Christ at last.
I can never forget listening to his exciting true testimony as I sat in his living room with him and his wife that day. Oh, the amazing miracles that God will perform to REACH ONE LOST SOUL FOR HIS KINGDOM! His grace for the wretchedly lost goes far beyond what we could ever imagine.
Steve is not the only former CIA assassin I have known. Another, a female assassin, came out of terrible darkness as well, including being a satanist leader in one state for 18 years. The grace and mercy of God apprehended her as well, turning her life around and changing into a Christian who deeply regretted everything she had ever done throughout her dark past.
Whenever I listen to real life testimonies like this, I marvel at the depths of the love, forgiveness and mercy God has even for fallen sinners like this! What wondrous love is this, that goes far beyond the limitations of mere mortal men???
This then is the beauty of JESUS CHRIST and His death on the cross for THE SINS OF MANKIND! He HAD to die a most terrible death to atone for the sins of the world, simply because THE SINS OF MANKIND ARE SO TERRIBLE.
Murder. Rape. Torture. Abortion. Cruelty. Hate. Lies. Stealing. Robbery. And the list goes on and on of the appalling sins of mankind.
YET God loved the world so much, that He sent His precious Son into our world, to SUFFER AND DIE as He bore the consequences of OUR sins from a just and holy God, ENTIRELY UPON HIMSELF.
Jesus, our Passover Lamb, who died in our place and whose precious blood saves us from death eternally!
If YOU are reading this and dark sins of your past stain your life also, realize that the same mercy God showed to the people above, CAN ALSO BE YOURS TODAY.
Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but SINNERS." (From Mark 2:17)
If you have sin in your life, realize that JESUS CAME FOR YOU. He came to set you FREE! He came to FORGIVE YOU. He came to LOVE YOU, and to lead you OUT OF THE DARKNESS to FORGIVENESS and to His Father in Heaven.
Please COME TO JESUS TODAY to find mercy, forgiveness, love and peace within that you so desperately need in your life today.
Let this season that we celebrate the DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST be your reminder that HE HUNG ON THAT CROSS TO TAKE THE PUNISHMENT YOUR SINS DESERVE UPON HIMSELF!
