The Bible describes how the Jewish priests (kohanim) would assist the
people in bringing gifts of
offerings in the Temple so they could feel closer to God. Sometimes the offering
was given just for the love of God, and sometimes it was given to show gratitude
or repentance. In our lives, gifts have a similar, positive effect of bringing
people closer together, and thus we are taught by our Sages that generally, a
gift should not be given anonymously, but rather in a way that brings together
the hearts of the giver and the recipient. Please help Israel365 provide for
needy Jewish families this Passover. You'll receive a beautiful gift from the
Land of Israel!
