The blood that was placed on the doorposts of the Jewish homes signified
that those inside the house had totally placed their trust in the Almighty. It
was this devotion that merited God's protection as the Almighty passed over the
Jewish homes in Egypt during the final plague. Jewish values are built upon
trust in God, yet we are simultaneously taught to enable ourselves and others
