Jerusalem Inspiration

In today's verse the Torah reveals to us the character of a leader.  Moses minds his flock 'to the farthest end of the wilderness'.  The Sages teach that Moses was chasing after a lost sheep, and upon finding him, he carries the young animal on his back and returns to Midian.  This compassion is what spurs God to immediately reveal Himself to Moses and direct him to begin the process of the Jewish salvation, for as Moses was compassionate to a mere lamb, God 'reasons' he would be a perfect leader.

Shalom from Michigan! Your site makes me yearn to go "home" to Israel. Recently my 9 yr. old granddaughter expressed concern because she does not see me read the Bible. I explained I get verses everyday on my tablet from several sites but showed her my favorite - Jerusalem365 - because of the accompanying Hebrew and the fabulous pictures. She was duly impressed.Bless you and your staff for all your hard work. It is appreciated! So, perhaps, next year in Jerusalem
Blessing from Jerusalem,
