SYLVIA'S PRAYER WALK IN THE MOUNTAINS-
There are times when we all get discouraged. Health crises can be one of the greatest challenges a person can face. However, a Christian has HOPE in the midst of personal crisis.
Why? Because of THE PROMISES OF GOD. God's word remains eternal. A holy God cannot lie! And Jesus came to not only save souls from hell, but also to heal the sick.
"Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases."
"I Am the Lord thy God Who healeth thee!"
"..And BY HIS STRIPES we are healed."
"They shall lay hands on the sick, and THEY SHALL RECOVER."
Sometimes Sylvia battles discouragement as she waits for the full manifestation of her complete healing from pancreatic cancer and lymphoma.But then she overcomes discouragement through constant PRAYER and spending time with the Lord in devotions and the study of His word. And it works!
If YOU are battling physical illness, be encouraged. YOU ARE LOVED: God cares for YOU! The Bible tells us that Jesus is touched by our infirmities, and He feels our pain and sorrows.
God's word remains true forevermore. Continue to stand on His eternal promises. Maintain an attitude of WORSHIP AND PRAISE, for the Bible declares that God dwells in the praises of His people.
And when you pray, BELIEVE that you have received it, and YOU SHALL HAVE IT. Does anyone dare to call the Lord God a LIAR? Jesus promises us that when we pray, BELIEVE that you have received it, and you shall have by faith whatsoever you say.
"ASK, that you may RECEIVE, that your joy may be full," Jesus tells us.
And above all, never get discouraged when your answer to prayer seems to be delayed. God's timing is perfect! Abraham had to wait 20 years for the fulfillment of God's promise for a son to be born to him.BUT IT HAPPENED, because a holy God CANNOT LIE!
As Sylvia has learned to do as she waits for the completion of her healing miracle, take the time to PRAISE HIM for what He has already done, and what He is GOING TO DO. Rejoice that His promises are TRUE. Bless His holy name! Spend time in fellowship with your Father in Heaven, and SEE what this will do to lift you up.
Let the Holy Spirit deliver you from all heaviness and fill you with JOY instead, for this too is the promise of God. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit residing within you is JOY! "But the fruits of the Spirit are LOVE, JOY, PEACE..." declares God's word to us.
Sylvia is determined to be AN OVERCOMER in all her trials and battles. But she knows this is ONLY possible by abiding in Jesus Christ, her Savior and her healer.
Only HIS promises are able to successfully counter the grim words of the doctors who have told her she has terminal cancer...and His promises have given her LIFE for two years now, following her diagnosis.
"I Am come that they might have LIFE, and have it MORE ABUNDANTLY," Jesus said to His followers. And thankfully, HIS WORD IS TRUE.
Be encouraged as you wait for YOUR miracle to manifest, beloved reader. A MIRACLE MAY BE ONLY A PRAYER AWAY!
Never give up HOPE. God's word remains FOREVER.
