Ramadan in Nigeria: Muslim gunman attack Catholic seminary, priest “badly wounded”
This is obviously a mistake. These poor Muslims simply don’t understand their own religion. Surely that most learned of imams, Pope Francis, is on his way to Jalingo now to explain to them how authentic Islam and the proper understanding of the Qur’an reject every form of violence.

Four people have been killed and seven others injured in the latest Boko Haram attack in the restive town of Konduga in Borno, the police confirmed on yesterday.This is as gunmen suspected to be Fulani herders yesterday launched an attack on the Catholic Secret Heart Minor Seminary located in Jalingo the capital of Taraba State….The catholic Bishop of Jalingo Dioceses, Charles Hammawa, confirmed that one of his priests was “badly wounded.”The Bishop, who described the attack as “regrettable,” admonished the government to be more proactive with the issue of security in the state and the country at large.Visibly dejected he said “ it is regrettable as a church because we are only modeling the children to be good citizens of Nigeria and the world at large.”Appreciating God that no life was lost, he however expressed dismay at the way and manner “ Rev. Father Koba, was shot in the leg.”
