Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts
Scotland: Jewish group teams up with antisemitic Muslim group to fight antisemitism and “Islamophobia”
“The Muslim Council of Scotland and the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities said they were standing together against antisemitism and Islamophobia.” The two terms are not similar. Islamophobia is a charge designed to restrict criticism of Islam, even political Islam and Sharia oppression. It is an Organization of Islamic Cooperation initiative to erode free speech. An Islamic educational guide for a district school board in Toronto defined “Islamophobia” as “fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture.” This definition has no place is any democracy, but is perfectly suitable for Islamic states where laws punishing those who offend Islam are enforced. Antisemitism, on the other hand, is hatred and violence directed against Jews solely because they are Jews. It is a gross inaccuracy to equate the two.
The Scottish Council of Jewish Communities is doing itself no favors by “standing together” with the Muslim Council of Scotland. It is being used in the jihad imperative against Israel (and against the infidel): eight months ago, the Muslim Council of Scotland (MCS) withdrew from an anti-racism march because of its inclusion of a pro-Israel group. The MCS called the Jewish group “apologists for apartheid and racism.”
The Vice-Convenor of the MCS, Azzam Muhammad, attended the fourth Global Convention of Solidarity with Palestine in Beirut. At that conference, “antisemite Gilad Atzmon was presented with an award, while Dovid Weiss, of the anti-Zionist Neturei Karta sect, gave a gift to Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, to be passed on to Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader.”
The Muslim Council of Scotland and the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities will now be working together, and will be “setting up a ‘ faith-specific social care service.’” This is very useful for the MCS’ image.
Also, these joint collaborations against “Islamophobia” and antisemitism make no sense. There is no Western society that is antagonistic against Muslims because of their faith. If there is any mistrust of Muslims, it comes from jihad attacks against innocent people and the command within the Islamic faith to conquer the House of War. Western societies are pluralistic and accepting. It is Islamic societies that are not.
“Jewish and Muslim leaders in Scotland agree to expand cooperation,” Jewish News, November 30, 2018:
Jewish and Muslim community leaders in Scotland have agreed a set of concrete steps that will greatly expand cooperation between the two faith communities, including the set-up of “a faith-specific social care service”.The Muslim Council of Scotland (MCC) and the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities (SCoJeC) said they were “standing together” against antisemitism and Islamophobia, as they also paved the way for a Muslim-Jewish Women’s NetworkThe first-of-its-kind intervention comes as the Scottish government reviews hate crime legislation north of the border, with Jewish leaders warning the issue is not confined to just one race or religion.“History has taught us that racism and religious hatred might start by targeting a single community, but it never ends there,” said SCoJeC director Ephraim Borowski.“That is why it is in the interests of us all to stand shoulder to shoulder to demonstrate that ‘othering,’ discrimination, and hatred are never acceptable.”Figures published in May show there were more than 5,700 hate crimes registered in Scotland last year, and leaders of the two communities warned that it was hate that led to attacks on a Pittsburgh synagogue and on Finsbury Park Mosque.Glasgow politician Anas Sarwar said: “We can’t leave the fight against antisemitism to the Jewish community, and we can’t leave the fight against Islamophobia to the Muslim community. This is a collective fight for all of us.”
