HHS emblem (Health & Human Services)The Trump administration is set to announce plans to protect faith-based adoption agencies and foster care providers from Obama-era rules that sided with homosexual activists over religious beliefs.
CBN reporter David Brody broke the story in a Nov. 1 report that quotes an unnamed White House official who said Health and Human Services will announce the rules today, which would allow those religious agencies to apply for federal funds while maintaining their religious beliefs.
The new rules will drop a 2016 rule imposed by the Obama administration that added “sexual orientation” to its guidelines which predictably conflicted with Christian agencies that follow strict guidelines about placing vulnerable children in a stable home with a mother and father.
The White House official said the Trump administration is “fully committed” to preserving the religious freedom of faith-based organizations.
