One of Father Jeff Robideau's homilies on the 4th Retreat at Sea clarified what a priest's duty to obedience entails: obedience to the magistarium's teachings. A brilliant summation of our current dilemma. This speaks to both the pope's airplane press conferences and to the problem of wack-a-doodle bishops who try to destroy good and holy priests under their 'care'.
I listen to Michael Lofton a lot. He is very good and I was happy to see him on Mic'd Up!
