Nothing is dividing current and former NBA stars more than the vaccine. While some players refuse to get the jab, reporters and past players of the liberal league are blasting them for exercising their freedom.
Church Militant's Hunter Bradford uncovers the massive pressure liberal media and the NBA exert on athletes' freedom.
The jab unquestionably segregates people in two camps, and the NBA is its most recent accomplice.
Kyrie Irving, one of the league's most sensational players, wants to keep his vaccination status private.
Kyrie Irving: "Honestly, I like to keep that stuff private. I'm a human being first."
But the "my body, my choice" crowd doesn't like Irving's choice.
Liberals condemn the all-star guard's "anti-vax" stance as "narcissistic" and "inhumane."
Uber-liberal and former Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar weighed in on those hesitant to get the vaccine.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: "The dark reality is that those who promote hesitancy and 'more research' have blood on their hands. Worse, the kind of conspiracy theories and pseudoscience pundits spread is the kind of selective 'science' that White people used to justify enslaving Black people."
Andrew Wiggins, with the Golden State Warriors, requested a religious exemption to the vaccine. The NBA rejected it.
Andrew Wiggins: "Back is definitely against the wall. Just going to keep fighting for what I believe."
Stephen A. Smith, sports commentator at ESPN, thinks the two players should be traded for refusing to get the jab.
Stephen A. Smith: "I said it last week about Andrew Wiggins and Golden State in regards to the vaccine, so I'll say it again with Kyrie Irving: Trade him!"
Critics wonder why many who support the vaccines are so opposed to merely asking questions about COVID or the jab.
On Sept. 12, New York City began barring anyone over the age of 12 from entering "covered premises" without proof of at least one vaccination — unless they have an approved religious or medical exemption.
