Remembering valiant English Catholicism.

So enjoyable, Milo and Sam.
Hope you do an 'Orphans of the Storm 2' and include that feisty fellow
Hiliare Belloc sometime. Loved his book 'Survivals and New Arrivals' defending
The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church!!!
He traversed our great America by foot practically to marry his bride who resided
in our town of Napa, out here in California!!!
He was a proud card carrying Roman Catholic who showed his CARD, unafraid
to as well.
There's a sweet picture of him, G. K. Chesterton and playwright humanist George Bernard Shaw together in the 1930's if you can believe that threesome....
Thank you dear Milo. Praying everyday for you and the CM Apostolate.

Laura Lowder • 2 hours ago You named Helena as Waugh's novel, but you derived your title for the conversation from Brideshead Revisited. :).
Enjoyable program. Thanks!
Jeremiah was a Bullfrog Baseballmomof8 • 3 hours ago I agree. Absolutely great show last night. So enjoyable to listen to Milo and his guest.
Purring InTheDesert • 14 hours ago • edited I am truly appreciative of those in in the control room who, by raising their arms, waving, whatever, at the end of the broadcast, acknowledge the viewers' presence. That simple gesture makes it feel like it's not all about the hosts and the staff - WE, also, matter.
Purring InTheDesert • 14 hours ago I am a natural cynic. I was wary of Milo's conversion. Not a disbeliever, just not 100% on board until I heard him read the passage from the Knox translation of bible. Then I believed it was true. I felt shivers and my eyes welled-up. That rarely happens to me. I, too, can honestly say that God saw to it that I was a cradle Catholic because I am too cynical to have found my way to Mother Church otherwise. I would be an evil, brutal person without my Catholic faith.

Rodney Pelletier Mod yvobalcer . • 4 hours ago That happens because the version of the show that's up over night is the youtube version. In the morning, after people come into work, the final version is uploaded.
Purring InTheDesert yvobalcer . • 14 hours ago Yeah, I've come to grin and bear those "imperfections". A continuity editor who approves all material before publication or embedding would be helpful. Then again, I can just "fast-forward" or whatever. It's cheaper for CM.
Rodney Pelletier Mod Purring InTheDesert • 4 hours ago See my explanation above. Thanks for watching!
lmtellsho • 15 hours ago Couldn't agree more. More than the "core" of civilization, the faith is the safe guard of true happiness. The well ordered life that the faith sets forth gives real comfort when all else around one is chaos. It is God's instruction book that comes with the box of parts that is life. Loved the show.
