Kentucky: 101st Airborne chaplains accused of dismantling on-post programs for Jewish soldiers

Why did this happen? Why were none of the representatives of other religions fired, but only the Jews? Could the 101st Airborne Division be anxious not to offend Muslim soldiers, and so is trying to keep the Jews out of sight? What possible benign explanation could there be for this? The 101st Airborne Division needs to reinstate the Jewish services immediately, with an apology, and stop harassing these Jewish lay leaders with absurd demands that they change the date of Passover, etc. And there needs to be a full and honest investigation into why this happened in the first place.
“Army investigates 101st Airborne chaplains accused of dismantling on-post programs for Jewish soldiers, by Kyle Rempfer, Army Times, April 28, 2018 (thanks to Dale):
Chaplains in the 101st Airborne Division have fired the longstanding Jewish lay leaders at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, allegedly without providing any reason, effectively ending Friday night Shabbat services for Jewish soldiers and their families.
The two ranking chaplains also refused to support the Jews’ attempts to celebrate Passover on March 30, the first night of the eight-day long religious celebration, allegedly because it conflicted with Christians’ Good Friday observances and would save money during the installation’s four-day holiday.
Jeanette Mize, her husband, Curt, and son, Lawrence, served as lay leaders for Jewish worship on the installation for nearly two decades. On Feb. 28, the three were allegedly fired without cause under the direction of the division chaplain, Col. John Murphy, and his deputy chaplain, Lt. Col. Sean Wead.
She added that her family has “faithfully provided weekly Shabbat and yearly religious worship events since 1999,” and they have worshiped at Fort Campbell since 1984.
Mize contacted Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, who lodged a complaint with base officials. Weinstein subsequently spoke by phone with Col. Brett Sylvia, the division’s chief of staff, who is currently deployed with the headquarters to Afghanistan.
Robert Jenkins, Fort Campbell’s director of public affairs, said the post is now investigating the allegations. He would not put Army Times in touch with the chaplains in question while that investigation is proceeding.
“Fort Campbell is committed to maintaining and improving the exceptional support we strive to offer all of our chapel communities,” Jenkins said. “We make every effort to ensure all soldiers, family members and civilians have the opportunity to exercise their religious rights. Further comment as this is examined is not appropriate.”
But Weinstein said he was informed on Friday morning that the inquiry had become a 15-6 investigation. That type of inquiry hints at the severity of the allegations and how seriously the Army is taking them, according to Weinstein.
“About 10 percent of the cases I file with the Army become 15-6 investigations,” he said.
Mize and her family have never been paid for the services they provide for the roughly 80 members of the Jewish community on Fort Campbell.
“There is no synagogue in the Fort Campbell area or the nearest towns of Hopkinsville or Clarksville,” she said. “The nearest synagogue is located in Nashville, more than 50 miles away.”
Mize added that other religious groups at Fort Campbell could actually worship nearby, “outside the gate,” but there is still worship at Fort Campbell for these organizations.
At the meeting in which she was terminated, two subordinate chaplains did not give her a reason for her dismissal, and would only say they appreciated her service of many years, according to Mize.
“I asked him what he ‘appreciated,’ since he and [the other chaplain] had never been to a worship event, even though I had invited them for High Holy Days and Shabbat,” she said.
One of the chaplains told her he had been busy with a Catholic event and that another Christian Army chaplain reported back to him.
When Mize said that chaplain has never attended a religious worship service, he responded that “it would compromise his religion to attend,” according to Mize.
“They had to celebrate Passover on a non-Passover date,” Weinstein said. “That’s like telling Christians ‘I know you want to do Christmas on Dec. 25, but it’s more convenient if you do it on Dec. 7, so we can save money.’ ”
Mize said she was told that if the Jewish community still wanted to hold a Passover event on the proper night, there would be no advertising or support for it….

Islam vs. the West: Surrender is not an option

Islam vs. the West: Surrender is not an option

Excellent and cogent analysis from courageous Iranian activist Amil Imani. Read it all.
Islam contra the West: Surrender is not an option
By Amil Imani, The American Thinker, April 29, 2018:
Who are we? We are individuals dedicated to expose Islamic tyranny for what it is. There are not many of us. I am going to name just a few who have been on the front line to stop the incursion of the Islamic ideology in the West: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Dr. Ali Sina, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Ibn Warraq, Brigitte Gabriel, and Geert Wilders come to mind, along with many others who have sacrificed the comforts of life just to sound the alarm, only to be mercilessly attacked by elements of the global left.
All of us have to constantly look over our collective shoulder to make sure the knife of an Islamic zealot doesn’t slash our throats as he aims to secure a posh place for himself in Allah’s paradise. Not a good feeling to have to live with, is it?
The potential killers take all the advantages this benign society and culture offer to implement their dastardly schemes, while people like us are virtual prisoners.
We have been challenged. They say, “You want us to go to war with 1.5 billion Muslims? Is that what you’re proposing we do?”
Not at all. We are peaceful, non-violent individuals. We despise wars and killings – the favorite activities of Muslims the world over and ever since the birth of their faith.
What we are saying is that Islam is at war with us and the free people of the world. We are saying we shouldn’t surrender. We should reject in no uncertain terms their historical ultimatum of aslam taslam (surrender, become Muslim, and you will have peace). We refuse to become Muslims. And no, thank you, we don’t want your peace. We should do all we can to defeat this menace.
Many Muslims invade the country of largely Christian people with epithets such as worshipers of the cross and al-kilab (dogs, the most disparaging name-calling in Islam, since dogs specifically are designated najes – unclean or untouchable) and Jews descendants of pigs and monkeys, according to their Quran itself. Yet they have no qualms about making themselves right at home, accepting all kinds of benefits handed to them by dogs and descendants of monkeys and pigs. So who is the pig? It is these ungrateful invaders who still cling to their belief of hate and have a long way to go to qualify, even as dogs.
When Muslims engage in propaganda, psychological warfare, dissimulation, and all manner of soft war, we should be vigilant and actively counter them. These weapons the Muslims use are just as deadly as guns, and at times, they can be more effective. They are used to undermine and erode the free world system and prepare it for their takeover. It is our duty to neutralize these schemes.
We say to the Muslims, let us make our case freely without you threatening us. You roam around freely and carry out your well orchestrated and generously financed campaign of propaganda, misinformation, and disinformation without us or anyone slowing you down, much less threatening your life. Our laws see to that protection for you. As for us, the law will come to redress any grievance we may have only after we have been either maimed or killed. Small consolation.
We believe that encroaching Islam with its rule of sharia presents an imminent threat to subvert and replace the Constitution that governs our lives. Unlike Muslims who practice taqiyya – lying or dissimulation – we only speak the truth. Truth should never be sacrificed at the altar of any goal. We firmly believe that truthfulness is indeed the foundation of all virtues.
Islam, as a matter of belief, considers all non-Muslims, even the so-called “People of the Book,” infidels who are to be subjected or cleansed from Allah’s earth.
It is long past time for you Islamic supremacists to sheathe your swords and join the civilized world. Use the pen and show us where we have erred or misrepresented Islam. Merits and truth, not swords and bullets, should decide who is right and who is wrong.
It is said that it is a crime to remain silent in the face of evil. Hence, we are speaking up and urging others to raise their resonant voices and act while they can before they are brutally silenced and annihilated by an ever creeping Islamofascism.

Iran releases Ayatollah-approved messaging app to replace banned Telegram – with emoji featuring women in hijabs carrying ‘Death to America’ placards

Oh, the irony.
It’s laughable that the world’s leading state sponsor of terror, whose stock in trade is hatred of America, Jews, and the West, steals and uses all of our technology and innovation (then calls it its own). This is typical of Islamic conquest throughout history. Conquer, steal, claim ownership.

Iran has released a new home-made messenger app that includes emojis featuring women in hijabs carrying ‘Death to America’ placards.
‘Soroush’ has an extensive set of emojis that display veiled women holding political messages – including the death to Israel and Freemasons.
The app was released to replace the popular messaging service Telegram, which is reportedly being pushed out from being used in the county.

It comes after it was largely used in communications during the 2017 anti-government protests due to its strong security.
The controversial new app – with similar features to WhatsApp – has received the blessing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He has already deleted his profiles on Telegram and is encouraging other users to join him on Soroush instead.

But some Iranians aren’t so easily swayed.
One suggestion being circulated on social media so far stating that Soroush’s three-tick message receipt notification (compared to the two ticks on WhatsApp and Telegram) shows that an intelligence officer is intercepting the messages.
The app is reportedly available in English – which is surprising considering it makes the offending emojis easy to find.
Iran’s Supereme Cyberspace Council has banned public institutions from using foreign apps.

ISIS “is driving mass migration from Africa to send jihadists into Europe,” “Syria was bad, but wait until a region with 500 million people is destabilised”

ISIS “is driving mass migration from Africa to send jihadists into Europe,” “Syria was bad, but wait until a region with 500 million people is destabilised”

In February, the Islamic State warned us that they would send half a million Muslim migrants into Europe — an army against the West. The hijrah. In May 2015, I further reported that the Islamic State was smuggling large numbers of Muslim “migrants” into Europe and making a fortune doing it. And in July 2015, I warned that hundreds of ISIS members planned on infiltrating Europe, together with masses of refugees from Libya, Syria, and Iraq. They did, and horror ensued: the savage attacks in Paris, Nice, Brussels, Berlin, mass rapes across the continent, while outdoor markets, music festivals, fairs, etc. are choice targets for jihad murder. Europe is forever changed, and not for the good.
Leftist elite authoritarians, responsible for the ongoing catastrophe, scoffed at our warnings. Instead, they defamed and libeled my colleagues and me, while fictionalizing what was/is essentially the invasion of Europe.
Clear-thinking Americans saw what was happening in Europe, saw that the Democrats wanted that same horror for us, and took action — President Trump. Thank heavens. Pay heed, 2020 is just around the corner, and the Democrats have declared war. What better way to achieve their goals than by importing an army?
ISIS ‘is driving migration from Africa to send jihadists into Europe’: Senior UN figure warns – ‘If destabilising Syria was bad, wait until a region with 500 million people is destabilised’
  • Fleeing ISIS leaders are ‘joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region’
  • Head of UN World Food Programme said extremists could drive a migration wave
  • David Beasley warned jihadists could then ‘infiltrate’ Europe ‘and cause chaos’
  • Sahel spans 3,360 miles across Africa from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea
By Julian Robinson for MailOnline, 26 April 2018:
ISIS leaders fleeing the Middle East are planning to drive migration from Africa in a fresh bid to send jihadists into Europe, a senior UN figure has warned.
The militants are joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region, according to David Beasley, head of the UN World Food Programme and a former Republican governor of South Carolina.
He warned terror factions could then exploit the area’s food crisis to push millions from the region in a migration wave that could dwarf the exodus from war-torn Syria in 2015.
‘My comment to the Europeans is that if you think you had a problem resulting from a nation of 20 million people like Syria because of destabilisation and conflict resulting in migration, wait until the greater Sahel region of 500 million people is further destabilised,’ Mr Beasley said.

‘And this is where the European community and international community has got to wake up,’ he told the Guardian’s Daniel Boffey.
Mr Beasley warned that the likes of Boko Haram and al-Qaeda are partnering with ISIS commanders who have fled from Syria in recent years and that extremists will ‘continue to infiltrate and destabilise in the hope of creating migration into Europe where they can infiltrate and cause chaos.’
The Sahel spans 3,360 miles from the Atlantic in the west to the Red Sea in the east in a belt stretching up to 600 miles wide.
Countries in in the region include parts of Senegal, southern Mauritania, central Mali, northern Burkina Faso, the extreme south of Algeria, Niger, and the extreme north of Nigeria.
In the past, David Beasley (pictured) has argued that a comprehensive plan for economic development could be the key to long-term stability and increased food security in the Sahel region
It also includes central Chad, central and southern Sudan, the extreme north of South Sudan, Eritrea, Cameroon, Central African Republic and the extreme north of Ethiopia.
In the past, Mr Beasley has argued that a comprehensive plan for economic development could be the key to long-term stability and increased food security in the Sahel region.
He has said that the World Food Programme sees food as ‘a weapon of peace, as a weapon of reconciliation, as a weapon for sustainable development. But we must get our act together. We must think holistically and not in our own silos.’
Mr Beasley, who showed support for Donald Trump during his Presidential campaign, has been attending a summit on Syria in Brussels.
During the meeting, International donors pledged $4.4 billion in aid for 2018 for civilians caught up in the Syrian civil war – well short of what the UN says is needed for humanitarian work in Syria and neighbouring countries.
ISIS militants are joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region, according to David Beasley, head of the UN World Food Programme and a former Republican governor of South Carolina
The sum committed at a two-day conference in Brussels was less than half of the $9 billion the United Nations says is needed this year to help those in need inside Syria and living as refugees in neighbouring countries.
Mr Beasley warned that without proper funding he would be forced to start cutting rations ‘to just barely keep people alive’.
Some 6.1 million people are now internally displaced in Syria, more than five million have fled the country and 13 million including six million children are in need of aid, according to the UN.
More than 700,000 people have been displaced since the start of this year alone as Assad has stepped up his offensive against rebel forces, intensifying the humanitarian crisis.
