I entitled my presentation: ‘The Essence of Leadership.’ While it was written for an organizational environment, I thought I'd share it with you and hope it provokes you to take a look at your life and inspire you to greatness in whatever field you apply yourself to. The world desperately needs more true leaders. 'The Essence of Leadership' by Jon Taverner.Throughout history, leaders have emerged that have risen to the challenges set before them. Some have been thrust into the role through circumstance and others have willingly stepped forward. Some say that leaders are born with character and qualities necessary for these roles. Others say it is a learned or nurtured behaviour. Either way, leaders are forged on the anvils of challenge, risk, and, opportunity. Many define a true leader as someone who generally has the following leadership traits: Vision, Confidence, Courage, Compassion, Quality, and, Integrity. Vision - that creates anticipation and expectancy, sets goals, energizes those who accept and believe in it, and, strengthens the working culture. Effective leaders help others to understand the necessity of change, accept a common vision of the desired outcome, and work together to successfully achieve it. Confidence - to stand alone, and with it, Courage to make tough decisions in the face of opposition. Making critical decisions as part of an overall strategy to make it easier for people to follow the vision is necessary. Compassion - to take the time to listen to the ideas and needs of those following and then nurture their development and progress. Leaders need to be masterful listeners; they need to be able to receive as well as send, and, be willing to handle opinions contrary to their own and absorb as much as they can. Quality - of their actions and leading by example. Behaviour, actions, and, decisions are also ways of communicating, and leaders have to learn how to create a consistent message through all of these. A leader inspires dedication by example, doing whatever it takes to complete the next step toward fulfilling the vision. By setting an excellent example, leaders can show followers that there are only opportunities to achieve something great. Integrity - of their intent and the resolve to see the betterment of the organization, not the building of their own legacy. A leader who is centered in integrity will be more approachable by followers. This is the foundation of everything else that makes a truly great leader. Norman Schwarzkopf said this: "Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character. But if you must be without one, be without the strategy." Find a governing authority. John Kennedy admitted something about Democrats that stunned Donald Trump
John Kennedy has a way with words like no one else in Congress.
He’s never seen anything like this before.
And John Kennedy admitted something about Democrats that stunned Donald Trump.
Democrats’ descent into left-wing lunacy is bad for the country
Democrats are losing it over President Donald Trump’s second term.
The Democrat base is enraged and demanding their elected officials do more to fight the Trump administration.
Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and other Democrat members of Congress are routinely cursing in public and pulling obnoxious stunts to satisfy the base’s demand they get down and dirty fighting Trump.
Crockett mocked Texas Governor Greg Abbott for being in a wheelchair during a speech at a left-wing gala.
“We in these hot a** Texas streets, honey,” Crockett said. “Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, c’mon now. The only thing hot about him is that he is a hot a** mess.”
The crowd laughed and cheered when she made that crass remark.
Democrat voters want childish antics from the politicians and Crockett is happy to deliver.
U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said that the unhinged behavior from Democrats is good for the GOP politically but terrible for the country during an appearance on Newsmax’s The Record with Greta Van Susteren.
“They got beat in the election. And I thought they’d hit rock bottom, but apparently rock bottom has a basement,” Kennedy said. “All this is great for the Republican Party, all this lunacy, but it’s bad for America. And I wish they’d stop it. But, you know, just from a political standpoint, you never interfere with your enemy when he’s kicking his own a**.”
Jasmine Crockett is a secret weapon for Republicans
Crockett has become a rising star in the Democrat Party for making increasingly crass comments and picking fights with Republicans like Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Kennedy said that Crockett running her mouth helped Republicans.
“Let me say I don’t hate anybody. When I say my prayers, I ask God, don’t let me hate. It’s hard sometimes in Washington. I don’t know Congresswoman Crockett, I think he said her name was,” Kennedy explained. “I don’t know her. She’s entitled to her opinion, but I’m entitled to mine. I’ve said this before, I think the Republicans’ secret operation, secret weapon, ought to be called ‘Operation Let Them Speak.’”
He argued that Republicans should let Crockett continue to be a headache for Democrats.
“As far as I’m concerned, I would turn the Congresswoman loose and let her keep talking. She’s making our case for us. She’s a member of the loon wing of the Democratic Party. All Democrats aren’t like that, but the loon wing is in control,” Kennedy stated.
Crockett’s rant about Governor Abbott could land her in hot water.
Representative Randy Weber (R-TX) announced that he was going to introduce a resolution to censure her.
The angry Democrat base is going to have politicians like Crockett continue to push the envelope with outrageous antics as they try to build their credentials for the 2028 Election.
