Shabbat Inspiration

Are Jews supposed to wish Christians a Merry Christmas? Listen to the words of Orthodox Rabbi Benjamin Blech, who says "as Jews I think we ought to recognize that today the greatest challenge to our faith is not another faith, but faithlessness. Our greatest fear should not be those who worship in a different way but those who mockingly reject the very idea of worship to a higher power... We differ in countless ways. Yet Christmas allows us to remember that we are not alone in our recognition of the Creator of the universe. We have faith in a higher power." From all of us here at Israel365, we wish our wonderful Christian friends a very merry Christmas!

Netanyahu's Inspiring Christmas Message

While Christians are persecuted throughout the rest of the Mideast, Israeli PM makes us proud with his stirring declaration "Here in Israel, religious freedom is a sacred principle."

Je-Wish You a
Merry Christmas" by
Rabbi Tuly Weisz

Nativity Scenes, Christmas Trees and any perceived threats against Judaism are met with great resistance by many Jews. As much as I understand those concerns, I also think that we are missing the mark and so I proudly wish a Merry Christmas to my Christian friends.

“It Takes a Person Closer to the People of Israel”

It’s great to hear from so many of you - stay in touch and let us know where in the world you are enjoying Israel365!

My name is Jennie Greves and want to thank you for the beautiful pictures of Israel, as it takes a person closer to the people of Israel and how you live. When I was 6 years old we took up a collection to give money to Israel to plant trees. In high school I had to learn Psalm 121 as punishment for laughing in the classroom. I am now 80 and still saying this Psalm for Israel. Thank you I appreciate being brought close to your people for whom I will always feel love.-Jennie Mc Donald Greves
