More MSM Absurdity: Bloomberg Host Says Bill Clinton Was Not ImpeachedOver 'Lying'

The Left's revisionist history.

The following proclamation from Bloomberg host John Heilemann epitomizes the kind of lies and distortions perpetuated by mainstream media every day. It is a compulsion with these people. Even when the accurate history of an event is well-documented and well-known, MSM members just can't seem to refrain from trying to rewrite it.
During a rally in New Hampshire Thursday, Donald Trump brought up the fact that former president Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 over lying in a sworn deposition concerning his sexual tryst with Monica Lewinsky. Bloomberg's John Heilemann, however, seems to think this is a matter of opinion, not fact. Chatting about Trump's truthful statement on his show, With All Due Respect, Heilemann tried to brush off Clinton's impeachment, calling it "more of a distraction than it is a focus." He then made the ridiculous claim that Bill Clinton "wasn’t impeached over lying."
Good grief, is there no limit to the Left's absurdity? Newsbusters once again captured the latest MSM-spin attempt:
“Only because the word impeachment in every American's mind who knows or has any memory of this, is sex. That’s what he was impeached over.” Heilemann immediately contradicted himself by admitting the truth of the impeachment. “He wasn’t impeached over lying. I mean, technically he was, but in fact, the whole thing was lying about a sexual relationship that he had,” he stated before arguing that most people see it as an “invocation” of Monica Lewinski.
Not only does Heilemann contradict his own claim of the impeachment, but so does history. According to the first paragraph of a New York Times article from December 20, 1998:
"William Jefferson Clinton was impeached on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice today by a divided House of Representatives, which recommended virtually along party lines that the Senate remove the nation's 42d President from office."
Heilemann's co-host Mark Halperin said he believes Bill Clinton's past and impeachment could indeed hurt Hillary "because they go back to the old corrupt ways of Washington. And for all the attempts of the Clinton people to say Trump’s worse on everything, he cannot be tied to Washington the way she can," Halperin added.
