Former DNC Chair: Clinton Wrong for Attacking Comey

I certainly wouldn't do it.

While the Democratic attack apparatus has FBI Director James Comey in its crosshairs, former DNC chairman Ed Rendell thinks attacking the Bureau chief is a mistake.
The former Pennsylvania governor told radio host Rich Zeoli on Tuesday that the Clinton campaign's decision to attack Comey over his decision to reopen the Hillary Clinton email investigation is poorly advised.
"I wouldn't do that," Rendell said. "Again, you know, I'm not running the campaign by any means, but I wouldn't do that." Rendell said he "agreed" with the host when he said that attacking Comey is  a "mistake."
"I generally do [think that it's a mistake] as well," Rendell added before stating that Comey's revelation will certainly help voter turnout for Trump:\
"I think the FBI stuff gave a boost to Trump, not because it changed anyone's mind but because I think it took a couple of Trump voters who were pretty discouraged last week with all the news about the polls and stuff and probably weren't gonna vote and now they're on fire and they're gonna vote, so I anticipate, as I said last week, but I even anticipate it more so that it's gonna be a close election here in Pennsylvania."
Interestingly, Rendell also mentioned that public transport workers striking in Philadelphia could suppress Democratic voter turnout on Election Day. Of course, the Pennsylvania Democrat had to find a silver lining somewhere, and fantasized that as more information comes out about how the FBI decided to go public with this information, "the better it is for Secretary Clinton."
Keep dreamin', Ed. The FBI also just released 15-year-old documents pertaining to Bill Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich that highlight the probe into Clinton corruption. Contrary to what Rendell believes, as more information comes out it will only reinforce the perception that the Clintons have been neck-deep in scandals, corruption and other malfeasance for decades running.
