Bitter Twitter Employee Deactivates President Trump’s Account on Last Day of Job

President Trump’s Twitter account was pulled offline for 11 minutes Thursday evening by a bitter employee who wanted his or her last day on the job to be a memorable one.
Twitter users were surprised to see the page gone as the president is a regular user of the platform to spell out his agenda. And some, including NBC News, enjoyed the silence.
“For a very brief time on Thursday, the world saw what life would be like without President Donald Trump being on Twitter,” Alyssa Newcomb writes in her report. She added that, “[Q]uite a few Twitter users admitted they would never forget the ‘minutes of peace’ they had while Trump was offline.”
Newcomb used several of those reactions to end her gleeful story:
“We’ll all remember where we were during the 10 minutes of peace while Donald Trump’s Twitter account was down.”“I think it was all of three minutes but it felt like a lifetime of happiness.”“I think we just came together as a nation for 23 seconds.”
Initially, Twitter stated that Trump’s account “was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee.” After 11 minutes, it was restored and Twitter continued its investigation. Later the company announced that it was, in fact, an employee who wanted to leave a lasting impression on his/her/xe’s last day:
"Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review."
