Marvel Actor Brags About DACA Status to Embolden Illegal Aliens

You may have never heard of Bambadjan Bamba, but you may have seen him on TV or in movies. His credits include DC Comics’ Suicide Squad, NBC’s The Good Place, and also The Sopranos. Bamba also has a role in the upcoming Marvel film Black Panther.
Bamba is capitalizing on his rise to fame and has revealed that he is one of Obama’s Dreamers. He is now circulating a petition in Hollywood to garner support for the DACA program that has benefited him so well.
Bamba told The Los Angeles Times:
"Immigrants are not criminals. We're not here to take away your jobs. We're here to give back. We're not just Mexicans or Latino. We're black, too. We’re from the Middle East, from Asia, too. We’re your neighbors, your doctors, the teachers of your children, and sometimes we’re on TV in your home, characters that you love. We’re just one of you.”
The LA Times applauds the actor for “coming out as undocumented” and helped him produce a video telling his story. Fox News summarized:
Bamba explains that he was brought to the U.S. by his family when he was 10 years old to escape political turmoil in his home country of Cote d'Ivoire in Africa. After moving to New York City without any grasp of the English language in 1993, he turned to pop culture, TV and films to help him learn the language and assimilate into American society. He's now expressing his fears that an end of DACA could mean that he’ll be separated from his daughter and forced to return, despite learning English and finding work.
According to Breitbart, Bamba was also ineligible for college loans as a non-citizen and worked as a cab driver to pay his way into the Conservatory of Film and Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Bamba hopes to find allies for his cause in Hollywood where there is power to “change culture.”
“Hollywood can play a big part in at least changing policy so that it can be easier for actors to work in Hollywood,” Bamba said. “My goal is to get a clean Dream Act passed. That’s what we are all fighting for right now.”
