They Don’t Want an Apology; They Want Public Humiliation

(RoyalPatriot.com )- Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert hit the nail on the head Tuesday evening when she told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Ilhan Omar and the rest of the Leftist Squad don’t want an apology; “they want public humiliation.”

And that right there is the nub of it.

The current “controversy” between Boebert and Squaddie Ilhan Omar erupted after a video emerged on Twitter showing Boebert at an event making a joke about Omar and calling her the “Jihad Squad.”

The video went viral on Twitter and in no time, Omar was shrieking about “Islamophobia” and accusing Boebert of promoting violent rhetoric that puts Omar’s life in danger. The rest of the Squad, along with other Democrat politicians and their enablers in the media piled on and demanded that Boebert be censured.

Congresswoman Boebert eventually issued an apology and personally called Ilhan Omar to apologize as well.

But extracting an apology was never the goal. Even after Boebert made the mistake of apologizing, Democrats, led by the Squad, continued to demand Boebert be censured for her joke and called on Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to punish the Colorado Congresswoman.

Ilhan is squeezing every ounce of victimhood she can out of this non-story, squalling like a child over the “death threats” she’s received and blaming them on Boebert’s “Jihad Squad” joke.

But every member of Congress gets death threats. It’s disgusting to be sure. But it isn’t exclusive to Ilhan Omar.

Lauren Boebert is spot-on. The Squad’s objective is to destroy her. And they’re using a stupid joke nobody even knew Boebert made until the Left promoted it on Twitter to do it.

Oddly, Democrat members of Congress repeatedly call Republican House members “insurrectionists,” “traitors,” “domestic terrorists,” and “white supremacists.” But they never face calls for censure or demands that they lose their committee assignments.

Case in point, on Wednesday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quote-tweeted the video of Omar playing a recorded threat she claimed was caused by Boebert’s joke. In her tweet, Ocasio-Cortez accused Kevin McCarthy of being so desperate to be Speaker “that he is working with the Ku Klux Klan caucus.”

If it isn’t right for Boebert to call Omar “the Jihad Squad,” then it shouldn’t be right for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to accuse Republicans of being the Ku Klux Klan. If Boebert should be censured, so too should Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

And that kind of incendiary rhetoric from the Democrats and the endless attacks in the media doesn’t go unnoticed.

This week, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a video playing some of the death threats and vile messages she’s received.

The House Democrats, especially the harpies from the Squad, are running the same playbook on Lauren Boebert that they used on Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar. The goal here is to exploit a throwaway joke to censure another Republican House member and strip her of her committee assignments.

At least Lauren Boebert recognizes the game.
