WASHINGTON (ChurchMilitant.com) - The government is forcing schools that receive federal funding for lunches to abide by progressive LGBT bathroom policies.
All state and local agencies must establish nondiscrimination policies that would allow biological males to use female bathrooms and vice versa.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) released a statement May 5 that said:
USDA is committed to administering all its programs with equity and fairness and serving those in need with the highest dignity. A key step in advancing these principles is rooting out discrimination in any form — including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. At the same time, we must recognize the vulnerability of the LGBTQI+ communities and provide them with an avenue to grieve any discrimination they face.
This means sex-based discrimination, as discussed in Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, will be reinterpreted starting in June to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
This comes after the Obama administration interpreted the Title IX legislation to mean that transgender students are allowed to use restrooms and locker rooms of the opposite biological sex.
GabTweetWith the USDA's most recent interpretation, all "state and local agencies, program operators and sponsors that receive funds from FNS must investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation."
The press release explained how an executive order from Joe Biden directed these new standards to be enacted. On day one of his presidency, Biden signed his executive order banning discrimination on gender identity and sexual orientation.
This is one of many moves led by the Biden administration to advance the LGBT agenda.
In late March, the Biden administration endorsed "gender-affirming care" for minors. This "care" gives teens access to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormone treatments and body-mutilating surgery.
Biden's Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) released a statement that called these procedures "a supportive form of health care." It noted how hormone therapy and so-called gender-affirming surgeries will permanently change a person's body.
Social media users on the Right have expressed anger and frustration with Biden's policies. One Twitter user commented, "Create a massively irresponsible security risk to children or Biden will steal their lunch money."
Another user tweeted, "Biden is announcing that if a school doesn't allow boys to go into girls' bathrooms, they will lose their FNS funding from the government. Basically forcing these sex talks on kids again and LITERALLY taking kids' lunch money if the schools don't allow boys in the girls' restrooms."
