The shooting that took place in Uvalde, Texas at Robb Elementary School was the most horrific school shooting since Sandy Hook. There are nineteen dead children and two dead adults. By far the most alarming question that has come to the forefront of the event; is why did the Police retreat. For nearly one hour the gunman was allowed ample time to shoot and kill who he wanted too. Another question that has come up is why was he able to barricade himself inside a room?
Below is a series of bullet points that have come to light since the day;
Uvalde is a town of 16,000
- Ramos purchased the guns within a week of his 18th birthday
- Ramos murdered 19 children and two adults
- Ramos attempted to murder his grandmother
- Ramos is now deceased, shot by a border patrol agent who did not wait for backup.
- Two police officers were shot, and both are expected to survive
- At this time, there is no known connection to terrorism
- The children at Robb Elementary are all 2nd through 4th graders
- Ramos was “bullied” as a child, with one pupil saying that he was mocked for his lisp
- Endured gay slurs and people making fun of him because of his clothing
- Leading up to the shooting, Ramos would cut up his face with knives “just for fun” – his friends knew about it
- Ramos used to drive around with another pal and shoot people at random with a BB gun
- Childhood friend Stephen Garcia told the paper that Ramos “would get bullied hard like bullied by many people. Over social media, over gaming, over everything.”
- Nadia Reyes, another high school classmate, told the paper that Ramos recently posted an Instagram story of himself yelling at his mom, who he said was trying to kick him out of their home.
- “He posted videos on his Instagram where the cops were there, and he’d call his mom a b—- and say she wanted to kick him out,” she told the paper. “He’d be screaming and talking to his mom really aggressively.”
- Ramos’ neighbor Ruben Flores, 41, said he tried to be a kind of father figure to the troubled teen, who had “a pretty rough life with his mom.”
- Ramos’ mother was apparently an active drug user – and Ramos’ grandmother was trying to evict her because of her drug use after Ramos had moved to his grandmothers
- According to Flores, Ramos moved to his grandmother’s home across town a few months ago, who said he last saw the grandmother Sunday when she stopped by the mom’s Hood Street property, which she also owned.
- While at Wendy’s, the employer for Ramos, Ramos would be very rude towards the girls sometimes, and one of the cooks, threatening them by asking, ‘Do you know who I am?’ And he would also send inappropriate texts to the ladies,” the former co-worker told The Daily Beast on condition of anonymity.
- Unconfirmed: Texas shooter was arrested 4 years ago for planning to shoot up a school when he turned 18, says Rep. Gonzales on Fox.
- Police stood outside for an hour while the shooter locked himself in the classroom.
- Police Restrained parents who begged them to go inside.
- Only went inside to get their own kids out.
- The border patrol agent who killed the shooter had a staff member unlock the door for him.
