DeSANTIS URGES SENATORS TO BACK TUBERVILLE  Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis this week said he backs Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s, R-AL, blocking of military nominations until the Biden administration backs down from its use of taxpayer funding to pay for abortions. “They are using tax dollars. They’re funding abortion tourism, which is not an appropriate thing for the military to be doing,” DeSantis said. “Day one as commander-in-chief, that [abortion] policy will go out the window."  READ

FBI INFORMANT FILE REVEALS ALLEGED BIDEN BRIBERY SCHEME
Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-IA, on Thursday released a bombshell FBI informant file describing a $10 million bribery allegation against President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma Holdings, told the FBI informant in 2016 that the Ukrainian was “coerced” into paying off the Bidens. It “cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden,” Zlochevsky said, according to the redacted FD-1023 form.  READ

ATTACK ON JUSTICE THOMAS IMPLODES  A recent story by ProPublica accused Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito of violating ethics rules, but the “experts” cited in the story have collectively donated over $100,000 to left-wing causes. The massive sum in donations came from only seven of the nine experts cited in the article, The Daily Caller reports.  READ

CHRISTIAN DESIGNER LIVES IN FEAR AFTER RULING  “Following the Supreme Court's 303 Creative decision, Lorie Smith has faced a stream of death threats, harassment, and vitriol so fierce that she fears to let her 11-year-old play outside alone,” reports Mary Margaret Olohan for The Daily Signal. “Perhaps a new reality for litigants dissenting from leftist ideology.”  READ

NEW VA SCHOOL POLICY EMPOWERS PARENTS  Virginia’s Department of Education issued an updated policy on Tuesday for the treatment of “transgender” children in public schools, which protects other children in locker rooms, bathrooms, sports, and classrooms. The policy also states that parents are in the best position to make decisions about their children’s names, pronouns, or sex; not the government, schools, or the children themselves.  READ

HIT COUNTRY SONG CONFRONTS BLM, ANTIFA  Country music star Jason Aldean caused a stir by releasing a music video featuring news clips of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests. In May, Aldean released his single “Try That in a Small Town,” a song that targets weak policing and riots in big cities. The lyrics include: “Cuss out a cop, spit in his face / Stomp on the flag and light it up / Yeah, ya think you’re tough / Well, try that in a small town.”  READ

RFK JR. TESTIFIES AGAINST CENSORSHIP  Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. described how President Joe Biden and other fellow Democrats have repeatedly tried to censor him and his campaign during a hearing conducted by the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. “Censorship is antithetical to [the Democratic] Party,” Kennedy said.  READ

LIBRARY BANS MOM FOR HIDING LGBTQ BOOKS FROM KIDS  After the Jefferson County Library in Colorado penalized a mom for hiding pornographic LGBTQ books from her children, she fired back in a letter to the library: “As any good mother would do, I would not tolerate this filth and perversion for one second, especially with books targeting young adolescents and children in a display that was not for children at all. This was a breach of my children's security…”  READ

EXPLAINER: BIOETHICISTS ADDRESS ‘INTERSEX’ SURGERIES  LGBTQ activists argue that the fact of intersex people (individuals who are born with ambiguous genitalia or even XXY gender chromosomes) proves that there are more than two sexes, but Catholic experts in bioethics refute that claim. The issue is simpler than you might expect. Read here for a Catholic explanation.  READ

'MINDFULNESS'  We heard some great feedback from LOOPers on an article we shared yesterday.
