Tonight is the darkest day of the Jewish calendar - it is Tisha B'Av, when the most devastating tragedies took place, including the destruction of both Temples, which ultimately led to exile. We take time to reflect on the tragedies that afflicted us in the past year, unfortunately too many to mention. Those of us who are fasting will relate to pain and affliction intended for this day. We can also appreciate the misfortune of those who are deprived of food and other necessities. We at Feed Israel are on a mission to help people who cannot afford to fulfill their basic needs. We work hard to help ease the burden for those stricken with hunger even today. Our volunteers distribute food packages to those who need extra help. Support us in our mission so we can all witness a better tomorrow, void of suffering. |
