The Bud Light boycott is now in its fourth month.

This is the biggest pushback against woke corporations in American history.

And now the Bud Light boycott took one strange turn that stopped everyone dead in their tracks. The latest numbers from June showed that Bud Light lost $27 billion in market cap following a boycott that ensued after the disastrous decision to sign a sponsorship deal with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The Anheuser-Busch corporation – the parent company that makes Bud Light – forgot its customer base was everyday Americans and not a bunch of coastal elites who put their preferred pronouns in their social media bios.

Bud Light drinkers saw the brand spit in the face of their values and promote transgenderism to young people.

So they stopped drinking the beer.

And now Bud Light’s workforce is paying the price for a bunch of woke executives wanting to virtue signal to their left-wing pals.

Anheuser-Busch announced it laid off two percent of its workforce as the Bud Light boycott shows no sign of slowing down.

“While we never take these decisions lightly, we want to ensure that our organization continues to be set for future long-term success,” Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth’s statement announcing the layoffs read. “These corporate structure changes will enable our teams to focus on what we do best—brewing great beer for everyone.”

Vendors who work with Anheuser-Busch to distribute and produce Bud Light are also feeling the pinch and laying off workers.

“The Ardagh Group, the glass bottling company that includes Anheuser-Busch as a partner, has also laid off roughly 645,” Breitbart reports. The situation for Bud Light is so dire that the current trends indicate Bud Light is set to lose its position as America’s number one beer.

“If Bud Light continues its double-digit declines for the balance of 2023 and Modelo Especial continues to grow at 10% or greater for the balance of the calendar year, then it’s probable that Modelo Especial surpasses Bud Light as the No. 1 selling beer in America on a calendar basis,” CEO of Bump Williams Consulting Bump Williams told Fox News.

All of this could have been avoided if Anheuser-Busch executives had any clue as to who their customers were.

A corporation valued at $116 billion surely conducted market research into who buys their product.

And even as the boycott gained steam the company could have headed it off at the pass by issuing a public apology and promising never to do anything like the Dylan Mulvaney sponsorship deal again.Instead, the working class men and women are paying the price for the woke executives’ sins.
