Top Democrat is in damage control mode after text messages leak
Democrats have become increasingly radical on a host of issues and Americans say it starts in the White House with Joe Biden.

Democrats and their media allies have openly talked about abolishing the Second Amendment.
But evidently, that isn’t necessarily how they feel when the cameras are not rolling.St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones is in damage control mode after text messages were released upon an open records request.
After a recent shooting incident, Jones said, “Our state’s lax gun laws make our challenge even more difficult…The legislature’s lack of action on gun safety laws encourages the proliferation of guns on our streets and puts our responding officers directly in harm’s way.”However, that isn’t what Jones said in text messages.

During a group chat with her father Virvus Jones and advisor Richard Callow, Mayor Jones texted, “Chicago has strict gun laws as well but that doesn’t deter gun violence… It’s about investing in the people.”
Strict gun control laws do not reduce crime.
In fact, the more legal gun owners there are, the less crime there is data shows.
Jones spokesman Nick Desideri tried to clean up the disconnect from her rhetoric and said, “Gun laws are just one part of the solution… There’s a difference between deterring behavior and making it harder to get firearms and weaponry. For example, there’s no doubt that gun laws in the blue region around Newark help reduce violence as opposed to here.” Despite what the Mayor’s spokesman claimed in trying to clean up for his bosses, for many there is doubt.

The overwhelming majority of gun crime is committed with illegally obtained handguns.
While Jones is admitting that gun control doesn’t really work, her party is going in the opposite direction. During a recent speech, Biden repeated an eye-rolling joke and said, “Deer aren’t wearing Kevlar vests out there. What the hell do you need an assault—no, I’m serious.”
He added that he wanted to “ban the number of bullets that go in a magazine. There’s no need for any of that. I love my right-wing friends that talk about ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’…[T]aking on the federal government, you need some F-15s. You don’t need an AR-15.”
The Democrats do not want law-abiding citizens to be able to defend themselves.
