The Talmud teaches that the Book of Joshua has unique worth over all of the
other books of the Prophets. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Kings and Judges were only
necessary as a response to the behavior of the Jewish people, and “had they not
sinned, they would have only needed the Five Books of Moses and the Book of
Joshua, for it is the record of the borders and boundaries of Israel.” May our
study of the Book of Joshua increase our love for the Land of Israel. Join the
Israel Bible Reading Plan, where you'll get unique insights into the weekly
