Don Lemon Shouts Down Conservative Guest: ‘I Don’t Want to Hear About Benghazi’
“It’s irrelevant!"

If there’s one thing Don Lemon is tired of talking about on CNN it’s “bull from the past.” Things like Benghazi, or Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server.
On Thursday evening’s Tonight, host Lemon sparred heavily with conservative guest Ben Ferguson. It seemed Ferguson hit a nerve when he went a little “off topic” — meaning not joining in the President Trump pile-on — and reminded the panel that there is a double standard applied to Republicans when it comes to Washington’s scandals.
The clip cuts in just enough to hear that the subject is, of course, the Russia investigation — a CNN staple. Lemon turns to Ferguson for a response and doesn't get what he wants. Instead, Ferguson sums up the results of the 2016 election, which can't be stated enough:
“There are a lot of people that feel like that there was special treatment that was given to people that worked for Barack Obama and things that they did that they would be indicted for if they were Republicans.“For example, when you clearly have top-secret information on a laptop that you have on a server in the basement of your house. And then you send those top-secret classified documents to people that aren’t even cleared to see them and then you forward them to your husband who, by the way, is in jail by the name of Anthony Weiner. If that was a Republican, they would’ve been indicted.”
Lemon interrupted and asked, “Ben, what does that have to do with what we’re talking about?”
“Ben, what are you talking about?” Lemon continued over top of his guest. “The FBI already investigated that. They’re have been a million hearings on it. It’s water under the bridge!”
When Ferguson asked for permission to finish, Lemon shouted a crescendo of, “No, no, no, no, no, nooo, nooooo, NOOOOOO!”
Ferguson insisted that while it may be water under the bridge for folks like Lemon, it matters a lot to everyone else.
Lemon feverishly cut to a break. When he returned, Lemon confronted Ferguson and told him to cut it out or else:
“So Ben, if you’re not going to hijack the panel and talk about things that are relevant, then you can go on and talk about it.“Listen, I don’t want to hear about Benghazi, I don’t want to hear about uranium. It has been litigated a million times.”
“Of course,” Ferguson punched back, “because it doesn’t fit the narrative.”
“No… it’s irrelevant,” Lemon argued.
“Don, you clearly don’t like what I’m saying,” Ferguson added to Lemon’s continued protests. “Why are you so afraid of what I’m saying, seriously?”
