Coming this fall is a new documentary by Dennis Prager and comedian Adam Carolla that promises to take on the out-of-control, politically correct culture permeating Hollywood, ruining comedy, and turning college campuses into totalitarian hellholes.
The movie, No Safe Spaces, will also feature conservative actor Tim Allen, whose hit sitcom Last Man Standing was unexpectedly canceled by ABC. Though the network denies it, many, including Allen, felt that the decision was political because of the conservative nature of the show.
As seen in the clip above, Allen is joined by several other comedians: Karith Foster, Andrew Schulz, and Bryan Callen. They all agree that their stand-up routines have been stifled by political correctness. Foster, who is black, says she has trouble selling jokes about her race anymore because audiences are offended when she jokes about enunciating properly or actually knowing who her father is.
Corolla recently gave the reason behind making this film:
“Nothing kills comedy quite like people who are constantly offended. It’s impossible to be funny if we’re not allowed to poke fun at each other and that’s what’s happening with a new generation of people who seem to be offended for a living. If we can’t have fun with one another than we lose our humanity. If free speech goes, then our basic freedoms will follow soon after.”
Prager said the movie is timely because “the contemporary left,” he says, is “the greatest threat to free speech in American history.”
Now, more than ever, we are seeing the need to fight for the First Amendment and against the notion that people have the right not to be offended.
