One of the first tasks given to Harris by Biden was to serve as border czar for the administration.
Even though Harris was supposed to take control of the quickly-collapsing situation on the southern border, the problem only got worse under her disastrous leadership.
The Biden-Harris border crisis has become the worst in the country’s history.
Record levels of illegal aliens and dangerous drugs have been flooding across the wide-open border.
Illegal immigration is up 350% since Biden took office, but the worst could be yet to come.
In her role as border czar, Harris has taken heat for only making one trip to the border.
Instead, she’s flailed around looking for the “root causes” of illegal immigration in Central America.
With Harris’ complete failure as border czar, one Republican has had enough.
Ronny Jackson of Texas introduced a measure in the House to fire Harris as border czar.
The resolution quickly picked up 26 House Republicans as co-sponsors.
Jackson unloaded on Harris in a statement to the Daily Caller.
He said, “Instead of working for the American people, Kamala Harris has worked against us by ignoring her responsibilities as Border Czar. Rather than doing her job, Harris sits back and watches as illegal immigration skyrockets, countless people at home and abroad are victimized by drug and human trafficking, and CBP officers are left without resources or support from the Biden Administration.”
“Make no mistake – Harris’ approach is by design, and she must be stopped,” Jackson noted.
“It is past time for Joe Biden to remove her from the Border Czar role and appoint someone who will put Americans’ interests first. A nation without borders is no nation at all,” Jackson added.
“We need a real leader at the helm who will secure our southern border, and, in-turn, our country’s bright future. A single canned photo op and pointless foreign trips to Northern Triangle countries on the taxpayers’ dime are not cutting it,” Jackson concluded.
This move comes amid growing bipartisan dissatisfaction with Harris’ handling of the border.
Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar, who represents a border district, said he’s given up reaching out to Harris for help on border issues.
Numerous local Democrat officials in Texas have also slammed the Biden-Harris border catastrophe.
With Biden set to end Title 42, the border crisis is going to get much worse.
Title 42 was a provision President Trump invoked to quickly deport illegal aliens for public health concern during the pandemic.
If the rule is revoked, an estimated two-million illegal aliens could attempt to cross the border.
With the border crisis growing worse, this could be the first of many calls to give Harris the pink slip for her miserable failures.
