Psaki asks Doocy for examples of schools teaching kindergartners sex ed; he grills her on appropriate age

Fox News’ Peter Doocy grilled White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on what age the White House believes it’s appropriate to teach children about gender identity and sexual orientation.

During the Monday press conference, Psaki reiterated that the official stance of the White House was in opposition to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, which critics have erroneously dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” law.

“At what age does the White House think that students should be taught about sexual orientation and gender identity?” Doocy asked.

Psaki danced around the question.

Doocy followed up by asking whether the White House thinks it’s appropriate to have discussions around gender identity and sexual orientation with kids before Kindergarten, which seemed to turn Psaki to snark mode before her response.

“Do you have examples of schools in Florida that are teaching kindergarteners about sex education?” Psaki asked, eyebrows raised.

“I’m asking for the president’s opinion about-” Doocy explained before Psaki cut him off.

“I think that’s a relevant question because I think this is a politically-charged, harsh law that is putting parents and LGBTQ+ kids in a very difficult, heartbreaking circumstance,” Psaki explained before moving on to another question.
