Child Predator Coach Drugged Children And Abused Them

(RepublicanReport.org) – Most people have accidentally left a phone, keys, or wallet somewhere, such as on a bus or at a restaurant. Oftentimes, employees will find the lost goods and help return them without any issues. However, in the town of Franklin, Tennessee, employees went through a cell phone recently in an attempt to find its owner. What they found is horrific.

Staff at a restaurant in Tennessee recently turned a cell phone over to police after finding various photos and videos of a man sexually assaulting children. The alleged criminal is Camilo Hurtado Campos, who is also a “popular soccer coach” in the area, according to a Franklin Police Department press release. Authorities are holding Campos in jail for raping children and sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators have identified two victims so far and are working on identifying numerous others, all believed to be between 9 and 17 years old.

According to police, Campos visited two playgrounds near his two homes and would build relationships with children before asking them to join his soccer team. After he had their trust, he would reportedly invite them to his house, drug them, and assault them while recording it. Many of the victims were unconscious in the videos seen by police, and investigators highlighted that “they might not even realize that they are victims.” Authorities are asking anyone who played for Campos to contact them with information, and they are working with local schools to continue identifying victims. This is a heartbreaking story where numerous children were allegedly taken advantage of by someone who earned their trust. It’s a good reminder to caregivers to take an active role in their child’s life, get to know who they hang out with and speak with, and trust their gut if they think something is off.
