FBI Scatters 1500 Bureau HQ Personnel to Offices All Over America
There was way too much FBI power concentrated inside the J. Edgar Hoover building. As soon as Kash Patel was sworn in, the first thing he did was scatter staff to remote locations. Around 1,500 bureau personnel just learned they’ll be transferred. Just about everyone working at the Washington headquarters were moved to “offices around the country.”
Spread the FBI around
Allowing FBI agents to gather together in a big concentrated group at the national headquarters gave them way too much opportunity to get into trouble. Long before Kash Patel was sworn in as director he advocated breaking them up.
The staff needs to be spread out across America, closer to where the crimes are happening. Not hanging around beltway cocktail parties and plotting crimes of their own.
About a third of the displaced staff is destined for Huntsville, Alabama. The rest “would be dispatched into offices nationwide.” The agents learned their fate in a meeting on Friday, February 21. Kash Patel broke the news to them personally.
“I promise you the following: there will be accountability within the FBI and outside of the FBI, and we will do it through rigorous constitutional oversight starting this weekend.”
He then explained, “this will include streamlining our operations at headquarters while bolstering the presence of field agents across the nation.”
One of the agents attending had Washington Post on the phone by the time the meeting was over. “When asked for comment, the FBI did not confirm or deny the proposed relocations.”
Combating real crime
What they did tell the rabidly progressive media outlet is “Director Patel has made clear his promise to the American public that FBI agents will be in communities focused on combating violent crime.”
Instead of plotting Democrat revenge on President Donald Trump. Like they did the last time he was in office. The bureau chapter of the Hillary Clinton Fan Club will need to hold their meetings on Zoom, now.
The Hill sent in a request for comment by email. A bureau spokesperson replied back that Director Patel “has directed FBI leadership to implement a plan” to put his promise into action.
Patel didn’t like it when he was personally a target of partisan weaponization. He once threatened to shut down the J. Edgar Hoover building and “open it up the next day as the Museum of the Deep State.”
He would love to eventually send all “7,000 agents in the headquarters building down range to chase down rapists, to chase down murderers, to chase down drug traffickers and let the cops be cops on the streets across America.”
Since Donald Trump was sworn in, “at least 75 career FBI officials and Department of Justice lawyers have either been fired, resigned or stripped of their positions.“
